CALLER: Hello Rush, what an honor.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I wanted to say that I was one of the people that didn\u2019t vote last year. And I\u2019m a good conservative.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You mean \u201908? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

CALLER: I listened to the media. I listened to the polls, and I just got depressed. He\u2019s going to win anyway, why should I vote? And I didn\u2019t go vote. I was not raised that way. I was raised in a good patriotic family. And I just want to stress to listeners how important, and I bet there are a bunch of us out there that sometimes we don\u2019t take the time to vote. And you have to do it this year. It\u2019s imperative.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank God you said that. What\u2019s changed your mind? <\/p>\n

CALLER: What changed my mind? Well, I always knew it. I live in New Windsor now and I drive by the Last Encampment<\/a> every day to go to the grocery store, Wal-Mart, whatever. It\u2019s always there and I\u2019ve read about it in my school books, and it\u2019s just there. And one day I said, “I\u2019m going to stop here,” and I pulled over and there was just a little sign. It wasn\u2019t an amusement park. It wasn\u2019t all this. You know, you would think it would be Disneyland or Virginia. And nobody was there. Nobody was there. It was empty. And I walked around that place. It was just a couple of cabins. And I tried to remember about the stories that I heard when they didn\u2019t have any shoes, when they were cold. The people 9\/11 —<\/p>\n

RUSH: No politician had any shoes when he was born. <\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right. <\/p>\n

RUSH: There isn\u2019t a politician alive that had shoes. In fact, most politicians are born in some little shack that they built.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right. Michelle Obama said his shoes were too small, weren\u2019t they?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019ve got an idea for you, since you didn\u2019t vote in 2008, you should vote twice this time to make up for it. <\/p>\n

CALLER: You know what I could probably find a way to do it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m sure you could. If you tell them you\u2019re a Democrat.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Or you\u2019re an illegal immigrant.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. That\u2019s the way to do it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: La Donna, thanks.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: When you walk around that place, I encourage anybody, if you live up here, stop by there and remember the people of 9\/11 died innocently. They didn\u2019t have a choice. The several people that picked up their arms, they went to war, they fought, and Benjamin Franklin, I\u2019ll give you a Republic if you can keep it. These people died for us, and you need to remember.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How in the hell did you not vote? As fired up as you are, I can\u2019t believe that you didn\u2019t vote. I don\u2019t know how afraid I am. The point of the matter is no matter how ticked off you are at politics in general, if you are ticked off at Romney or ticked off at the Republican Party, it doesn\u2019t matter this time, folks. This is not one of those times where you let them win so everybody can see how bad it is. It\u2019s happening. We don\u2019t need any more proof.
