Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I would like to talk about that <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14579\">YouTube video<\/a>, Rush. I think that Barack keeps talking about it because he wants to use it as a reason to censor the Internet. It\u2019s the only media that he doesn\u2019t control.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_67258\" class=\"aligncenter\" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/ObamaInternetKillSwitch.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Not for long.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (giggles)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No, there\u2019s legislation that\u2019s pending, and it may have already been signed or is in Congress. He\u2019s gonna have the master on-off switch.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: The president&#8230; It\u2019s not just him. I mean, it\u2019s happening during his regime. I think you\u2019re on to something here. The president of the United States will be able to essentially flip switch and turn off the Internet during times of a national crisis or emergency, as defined by the president. I don\u2019t know what limits there are on it, but it\u2019s cybersecurity, and the president\u2019s going to have that power.<\/p>\n<p>That legislation\u2019s working its way through the FCC or through Congress, I\u2019m not sure. I\u2019m going to have to bone up on it, but I know it\u2019s a big possibility. So he won\u2019t have to control it if he can turn it off, but that doesn\u2019t mean that he still wouldn\u2019t like to. I mean, that\u2019s the way people like this are: Control the flow of information, keep people mal-informed, ill-informed, uninformed, what have you.<\/p>\n<p>Keep \u2019em dumb.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s how you stay in power.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?page_id=37804\"><img id=\"eZObject_67262\" class=\"alignright\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/000MostDangerousMan.jpg\"\/><\/a>RUSH: Ladies and gentlemen, this presidential power to turn off the Internet, it\u2019s not legislation. I have it right here. Big Sis, Janet Napolitano, &#8220;Says Cybersecurity Executive Order is Almost Ready.&#8221; The story is dated yesterday. You want some details? &#8220;At a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing, Napolitano said the executive order is &#8216;still being drafted in the inter-agency process\u2019 and &#8216;is close to completion depending on a few issues that need to be resolved at the highest levels.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It says here, &#8220;The White House began to explore an executive order last month after Senate Republicans blocked&#8221; the bill. Yep. Republicans said (summarized), &#8220;What do you mean the president\u2019s gonna have the power to turn off the Internet? We\u2019re not gonna do that!&#8221; So Obama said, &#8220;To hell with you guys. We\u2019ll just bypass you.&#8221; Obama is again set to bypass Congress, which has rejected any attempt to pass this kind of legislation.<\/p>\n<p>From the article: &#8220;The voluntary program in the draft order is based on a measure in [Senator Joe] Lieberman\u2019s bill that drew opposition from GOP senators and business lobbying groups, chiefly the US Chamber of Commerce. Critics argued that the program would serve as a backdoor for regulatory agencies to force companies to meet new security standards,&#8221; as though that\u2019s all anybody\u2019s worried about with this?
