RUSH: Vice President Bite Me said, “The middle class has been buried the last four years,” at a campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina. This happened yesterday. In fact, we have a couple sound bites here. Let\u2019s see… I want to start with the Democrat convention. I\u2019m gonna go back to September 6th in Charlotte, actually. This is President Obama during his acceptance speech…<\/p>\n

OBAMA: And, Joe Biden, thank you for being the very best vice president I could have ever hoped for, and being a strong and loyal friend.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, right on! This is what he gets for it…<\/p>\n

BIDEN: This is deadly earnest, man. This is deadly earnest! How they can justify — how they can justify — raising taxes on the middle class that has been buried the last four years! How, in Lord\u2019s name?<\/p>\n

RUSH: So he just indicts his own administration. He indicts Obama. He indicts the last four years of the regime as having “buried the middle class,” and then compounds it with a lie that Romney\u2019s gonna raise taxes on the middle class. Romney is not gonna raise taxes! This is a huge lie, by the way, that Obama\u2019s getting away with. If anybody\u2019s gonna raise taxes on anybody, it\u2019s Obama, and he\u2019s telling everybody he\u2019s going to do it!<\/p>\n

He\u2019s already done it with the mandate for health care. You\u2019re either gonna pay a fine or you\u2019re gonna buy insurance. It doesn\u2019t matter what your income level. You don\u2019t get an exemption from that. There are 1,600 new IRS agents to make sure that you either have health insurance or you pay the fine on your tax return. It\u2019s a tax said the Supreme Court. The administration tried to say it wasn\u2019t a tax, that it was a penalty, a fee. What an unadulterated mess. It\u2019s Obama raising taxes. It isn\u2019t Romney.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s Bite Me out there: “This is deadly earnest, man. … [T]he middle class … has been buried the last four years!” That ought to sink \u2019em. And here is Paul Ryan yesterday in Burlington, Iowa. He had a reaction to it.<\/p>\n
