CALLER: Dittos, Rush. Thanks for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir. How did this place get its name? Let\u2019s see, there\u2019s Defiance, Ohio. There\u2019s something else, another Ohio town that\u2019s named something like it. Defiance? Alliance?<\/p>\n

CALLER: There\u2019s an Alliance, and there\u2019s also an Independence.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We get that a lot.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it\u2019s great to have you on Open Line Friday. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Great. Yeah, I\u2019m an entrepreneur and I\u2019m raising capital for my startup, and I just wanted to share with you how incredibly hard it\u2019s been to find investors in Obama\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: So many of them have told me that they love the concept that I have but they\u2019re just holding onto their money \u2019cause they\u2019re just not sure what Obama\u2019s gonna do if he gets reelected. <\/a>It\u2019s been really frustrating.<\/p>\n

RUSH: For those of you in Rio Linda, when Steve says here he\u2019s looking for “capital,” that\u2019s money. You\u2019re looking for investors, and they\u2019re reluctant because they may not have much if Obama\u2019s reelected.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Because of taxes and whatever other requirements they\u2019re gonna have to meet, like health care expenditures they might have to make. No, I know. What about the banks? Have you tried getting money from a bank?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Almost impossible.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Why?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m a third-generation small-business family, and we used to be able to go to the bank anytime we needed it, with our reputation and our credit. Here they kind of looked at me like, “Yeah, there\u2019s really nothing we can do.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: Really?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, with all the new regulations and everything. And we have connections with several of the CEOs of local banks here.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, see, this is a point. “Guys like you, it\u2019s about time you found out what the rest of country has to live like. You were living off your connections. You knew people in powerful places that other people like the Obama phone lady never knew, never met, and she didn\u2019t have the same opportunity as you. Well, it\u2019s about time these people told you to take a hike so that you see what it\u2019s like!” This is what Obama thinks. “It\u2019s about time you found out what it\u2019s like!”<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: “You had an unfair shot. You had a greater opportunity \u2019cause you knew people! You knew somebody. Somebody was able to help you out, and that\u2019s not a fair shot for somebody else.”<\/p>\n

CALLER: (chuckling)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, it may sound… That\u2019s exactly how he thinks, folks, and do not doubt me. He may not have this personal desire that you don\u2019t get a loan. But I\u2019m telling you: When he hears a story like this, he hears success. “Nobody ought to get a loan \u2019cause they know somebody because not everybody can. This networking business, it\u2019s not fair. It\u2019s not a fair shot, and it isn\u2019t a fair result. You shouldn\u2019t have that advantage. Your family, so what? Not everybody has family connections. Those that don\u2019t, don\u2019t have an advantage like you do. So it\u2019s about time you found out what it\u2019s like to be said ‘no\u2019 to.”<\/p>\n

CALLER: (chuckling)<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s Obama. That\u2019s Obama economics, folks. So what are you gonna do?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Just keep your head down and keep going. It\u2019s all you can do, you know? You don\u2019t ever fail until you actually give up, and I\u2019ll never give up.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, hang in there. Hang in there, \u2019cause I think if Romney wins this you\u2019ll be able to get some money the next day.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: I was deadly serious when I was telling Steve from Defiance, Ohio, if Romney wins the election, he\u2019ll get money the next day. If he\u2019s got the credit that he says he\u2019s got, everything else being equal, he\u2019ll be able to get the money the next week. You watch, folks, if Romney wins this election, you watch the shackles, the invisible shackles that are gonna be removed from this economy. Well, they\u2019re not invisible, but with the prospect of Obama gone and no more Obamaism and Romney back to the free market, in that direction, you watch. It\u2019s gonna be one of the fastest recoveries we\u2019ve ever seen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
