CALLER: I agree with everything you\u2019re saying, but there\u2019s one thing I\u2019m not hearing and that\u2019s also the fear of change or fear of the hard choices we have as a country. I mean, you know, we got a mess in our economy and the debt we\u2019re standing on. We\u2019ve gotta make choices. It\u2019s not exactly like Greece, but it\u2019s gonna be a little bit of pain for everybody whether it\u2019s the reform of the tax code or restructuring Medicare. You know, everybody\u2019s gonna have to put a little bit in, and I —<\/p>\n

CALLER: — think there\u2019s some fear in people —<\/p>\n
RUSH: No.<\/p>\n
CALLER: — to give a little more.<\/p>\n
RUSH: No. No. No. No. For the people who voted for Obama, they aren\u2019t going to have to put a little in. There will not be any “pain” for them. That\u2019s what voting for Obama means! Voting for Obama means ending the pain for them. Obama is gonna make others feel the pain. Those Obama voters aren\u2019t afraid of anything. They\u2019re afraid of him losing.<\/p>\n
Their fear is rooted in Romney\u2019s solution to our problem, which is, “You know what? We\u2019re gonna have to put people back to work.” American hard work and ingenuity, that\u2019s what they don\u2019t want to hear. That\u2019s what scares them. Obama washes away their fear. Everybody else is gonna have to do it. Not them.<\/p>\n
