RUSH: Lucille, Long Island, great to have you. I\u2019m glad you waited.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hey, Lucille.<\/p>\n

CALLER: God bless you, Rush. I mean, you\u2019re wonderful. Thank you for taking my call. You know, I\u2019m a wife, I\u2019m a mother, I\u2019m pro-life. I was a Democrat until Reagan was elected and then I thought he was just so wonderful. And I am a newly minted member of the NRA.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Congratulations.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am so happy. Let me tell you, I weep for my country. I weep for my children. They have no idea what the country was like before, when I was young, when I was a kid. All the freedoms, all the opportunities that I had —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. All the old-fashioned, boring, women were barefooted and slaves in the kitchen, and you had to put slippers on dad\u2019s shoes at night and fix him supper and fix him a drink, make sure the bed was done and the laundry was clean. Yeah, it was really great.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, let me tell you, I am so unhappy with the way things are. I live in New York. Could things be any worse in New York? I mean, I can\u2019t believe it. I went to a gun store yesterday on Long Island. I got there, I couldn\u2019t find a place to park, there were so many people. People coming out with bags and bags and bags of ammo.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Why, Lucille? Why are people doing this, to your estimation?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think because they\u2019re afraid, and they kept saying the T-word, tyranny, tyranny.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: If I heard it once, I think I heard it half a dozen times.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, look, I\u2019m gonna ask the question. I actually think, Lucille, that Obama is trying to push people in this direction. I think he wants people to snap. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, he definitely does.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I think Obama is challenging everybody\u2019s sanity. I don\u2019t know why. I don\u2019t know why he\u2019s did deliberately making people so upset. I don\u2019t know what\u2019s driving him.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think I know why, my own opinion. He\u2019s a narcissist. If he drives them crazy, they think about him all the time. And he likes people to think about him. He wants him to be the only thing you think about.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, he can be thought of as a great loving guy, too. I mean, he\u2019s the president of the United States. People are gonna think about the president every day anyway. There\u2019s gotta be more to it than that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think he wants confrontation. I think he thinks if we have more confrontation, then he can take more control, and I think that\u2019s what people are afraid of.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You mean chaos?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So the more chaos there is, the more requirement there is for him to step in and control the chaos.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. Absolutely. And I really feel that, Rush. I\u2019ll talk about it with people, and they\u2019ll agree with me, but they\u2019ll say, “Oh, but I won\u2019t say anything because people think I\u2019m crazy.” But more people think that than you could imagine.<\/p>\n
