RUSH: So, folks, I just want to prepare you. I know to some people it\u2019s immature, it may be unseemly, it may seem insecure. It\u2019s not any of that. I have been making predictions, and I should call those predictions warnings, it\u2019s actually what they have been, about the media, about Obama, about the intentions of both, their intentions toward the Republicans, what Obama\u2019s grand vision is. I have been warning and doing so under the guise of predictions for a lot of things, for four years. But some intense stuff that I\u2019m gonna address here today, at least in the last three to four weeks, even going into last year. I\u2019m gonna spend some time explaining<\/a> it. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s not because of insecurity. It\u2019s not because of immaturity. It\u2019s not because I want to be childish or go nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah, “See, I told you so,” none of that. It\u2019s because I want you to know that when I predict something, I\u2019m warning, and I want you to know that you can trust it. I want you to know that you can have faith in it. That I\u2019m not saying things just to say them. That I\u2019m not trying to be outrageous just for the sake of it. That I am genuinely concerned about these things and warning you about it for whatever good that ends up being. <\/p>\n

Some will say, “You\u2019re just doing this because you\u2019re mad that everybody in the media is stealing your stuff.” No, I\u2019m not. That\u2019s what I mean. I\u2019m not being childish about it. I\u2019m not being immature. I know that with as many media people as there are and as many pundits offering opinions, it\u2019s really difficult to claim originality. I\u2019m not gonna go through this because I\u2019m upset people are stealing from — I don\u2019t look at it that way. It\u2019s not the point. I do want to establish to you that I know what I\u2019m talking about that. When I issue these warnings and red flags, that you ought to listen to it. It\u2019s nothing more than my desire that you trust me and believe what I\u2019m telling you so that you can be on the cutting edge, be informed, be aware of what\u2019s coming, for whatever good it\u2019ll do you, but that\u2019s really the reason. <\/p>\n

I did not watch any of the inauguration yesterday. I didn\u2019t need to. I knew what it was gonna be. I\u2019ll tell you what happened. I left here Friday. I haven\u2019t been able to play golf since July. I\u2019ve had increasingly bad, really debilitating range-limiting pain in my left shoulder. It\u2019s been excruciating. And I thought, well, I\u2019m getting older, it\u2019ll go away. It never did go away, and I didn\u2019t call a doctor because when I call a doctor, everything\u2019s cancer and you got 15 days of tests and I knew it wasn\u2019t that. At any rate, it got to the point where I just happened to have dinner with a golf buddy who knows an orthopedic specialist. “Oh, I\u2019ll have the guy come to your house and look at it.” <\/p>\n

I said, “Well, you can\u2019t do better than that.” Don\u2019t have to go to a doctor. Can\u2019t get an MRI, so there\u2019s no tests. The doctor came out and in 30 seconds on Thursday night he told me what it was. He said, “You got frozen shoulder.” I thought I had ripped a biceps tendon or rotator cuff. I was just doing this amateur diagnosis. “You got frozen shoulder.” <\/p>\n

“What\u2019s that?” <\/p>\n

“The whole shoulder is just inflamed. If you could see it, it would be bright red.” <\/p>\n

So he said, “What are you doing tomorrow?” <\/p>\n

I said, “I\u2019m flying out of town for the weekend.” <\/p>\n

We arranged a cortisone shot. I had a cortisone shot on Friday and the first 24 or 36 hours it didn\u2019t work very well. I said, “Awe, jeez, maybe this isn\u2019t what it was.” Then all of a sudden it kicked in, and it\u2019s like I\u2019m brand new today. Today is really the first day that I have some — I mean, if you\u2019re watching on the Dittocam, I couldn\u2019t do this. I couldn\u2019t pull my arm straight out. I couldn\u2019t reach behind my back. I couldn\u2019t put on a suit jacket or any of that. Now I\u2019m back. <\/p>\n

We went to Las Vegas for the weekend and I\u2019m sitting outside on the deck smoking a cigar yesterday as we\u2019re getting ready to leave. The inaugural stuff is on and I\u2019m not watching it. I knew what it was gonna be, and over the weekend, by the way, I had read all kinds of things. I was doing show prep, preparing for today to come back, and I was telling Snerdley this morning, “It is amazing the number of –” maybe you\u2019ve seen this, Dawn. Well, I don\u2019t know how many blogs you read. You wait for me to tell you what\u2019s in \u2019em, but you wouldn\u2019t believe the number of conservative commentators who all of a sudden, “Hey, you know what? We\u2019re going to have to start backing off Obama. He\u2019s really not a bad guy. He\u2019s not really a socialist, Marxist. He\u2019s just a Chicago thug and you just have to look at him that way. He doesn\u2019t really have bad designs on the country. We\u2019re not gonna get anywhere.” <\/p>\n

Then Condoleezza Rice is out saying the GOP\u2019s doing this or that, making a mistake here on immigration. It became clear, folks, that you and I who are conservatives, we\u2019re becoming more and more marginalized and isolated on a little island here and it\u2019s very small and it\u2019s adrift out in the middle of nowhere. We\u2019ve got people jumping ship left and right. Our own island, we got people jumping off our own ship. I mean, the number of us who exist as we are who are fearless in trying to explain exactly what\u2019s going on each and every day are dwindling in number in the media. Now, I don\u2019t know about you. I don\u2019t get that sense with you based on the feedback I get from you. So, anyway, I knew also that when I got here today that Cookie would have watched the inaugural festivities and she would prepare for me the audio sound bite roster that had all the stuff. <\/p>\n
