RUSH: Hi, friends. It was a puke fes<\/a>t. It was unlike anything I\u2019ve ever seen. It was right out of a banana republic<\/a>. And I\u2019ve seen it all. I mean, in my 62 short years I\u2019ve seen a lot. I\u2019ve never seen groveling, butt kissing, sucking up. I\u2019ve never seen anything like Hillary Clinton\u2019s appearance before a joint congressional committee on that Benghazi guy who went nuts over there in Libya. And I guess everybody\u2019s favorite part, she lost her cool at one point. By the way, she opened up crying, which is part of the script. But our favorite part, she was asked by Senator Johnson why they stuck with the story of the video to explain why the Benghazi guy went nuts.<\/p>\n

And Hillary said, “What difference does it make? What difference, at this point, does it make?” Exactly right, but what difference does any of it make? What difference does it make that 50 million Americans are on food stamps? What difference does it make that the president\u2019s acceptance speech, his inaugural address, was perhaps one of the most partisan and divisive speeches in American presidential history? What difference does it make? Exactly right. After all this time, what difference it make?<\/p>\n

Folks, I don\u2019t know how many of you saw it. Apparently a lot of you did. My e-mail is overflowing today with people in visceral reactions. We got audio sound bites of all it. You know what this was? This was perhaps, folks, one of the best illustrations of the whole concept that we\u2019ve spoken here about on numerous occasions of the ruling class, the political class. It doesn\u2019t matter what party, they\u2019re all part of the ruling class, the political class in DC, and when the rubber hits the road, they all circle the wagons around each other. Well, the Republicans join in circling the wagons. The Democrats never do when it\u2019s a Republican involved, but for the most part they do. They close ranks, and they protect one another because what they\u2019re protecting is themselves.<\/line><\/p>\n

They\u2019re protecting the ruling class, the political elites, and they\u2019re maintaining the status quo. It\u2019s akin, remember when Dan Rather ran that phony story on George W. Bush and the National Guard and how he pulled all kind of strings to get in the Guard instead of going to Vietnam and never went to the Guard, never did anything. The story was a total hoax. It had forged documents and everything. And once it was discovered by the right wing blogosphere that Rather and CBS News had perpetrated a hoax, Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings circled the wagons and they had a bunch of awards dinners for Dan Rather.<\/p>\n

And what they were doing, they were protecting Dan Rather, but what they were really doing was protecting themselves and protecting the so-called integrity of the news business. They were protecting their institution, protecting the media, which is a lot of liberals at the same time. There are no failures. If you\u2019ve noticed with the Democrat Party and liberalism, failures often rise to the top in the Democrat Party, either in office or out of office. Failures are rewarded because they are not going to let anything destroy the ideology. The ideology will survive and thrive and triumph. And that\u2019s exactly what was going on here with both parties participating in it.<\/p>\n

I mean, here we have by reputation, the smartest woman in the world. This is how Hillary was presented to us during the nineties after she had, you know, eaten the excrement sandwich of marrying Clinton and putting up with everything Clinton put her through, it was time for her to be rewarded. A presidential run in 2008. Then the black came along and it screwed everything up and everybody went for the black guy and they threw Hillary overboard. She did not get what she was promised, the presidency. She did not get what she was owed. So they\u2019ve been doing everything they can to make all of it up to her ever since 2008, including beginning in the nineties.<\/p>\n

She was the smartest woman in the world. The only woman capable of putting together a national health care program and running it and administering it. The only person possibly equipped to do it, the smartest woman in the world. So what we had today, didn\u2019t matter what party these senators were from, we\u2019ve got a montage here to illustrate this coming up in due course.<\/p>\n

We had all of these senators praising her intelligence, praising her stamina, because she traveled all those million miles, and a lot of these senators said (imitating senators), “You know, people that have never done that, they don\u2019t know what it takes. We do. We\u2019ve made those trips, Mrs. Clinton, and we understand just how tough you are. And we understand how much stamina you\u2019ve got. It was really impressive, and you\u2019ve done it all for the country. You\u2019ve given up everything. You\u2019ve sacrificed so much, and we are so happy to have you here. We are blessed to have you in our presence. Why, this is the greatest day in our republic short of Obama\u2019s second inaugural. This is the most wonderful day, to have you here with your stamina, your intelligence, all of those miles traveled, your devotion.”<\/p>\n

They praised her competence, her brilliance, her beauty, her compassion, her caring, her concern, her glasses, her wardrobe, her qualifications, her love of country, her devotion to ambassadors. They made a point to say that her devotion to the ambassadors is personal, it\u2019s not just professional. She loves every one of them, and she\u2019s cried over every one of them. And what difference does it make whether there was a video or not. Who the hell is bringing that up now? They went for a full hour-and-a-half, by the way, before anybody asked about the video. And the video, for weeks, was the sole reason given why Benghazi went up in flames. The video was the reason why there were four Americans killed.<\/p>\n

The producer of the video is still in jail in California on some phony, trumped up charge, bank fraud or whatever. And yet an hour-and-a-half, maybe hour and 20 minutes, but certainly the first hour went by, there wasn\u2019t one question about it. And then Senator Johnson finally got to the question, “What difference does it make? What are we talking about here? What difference does it make? It\u2019s old news.” And that\u2019s been the Clinton MO for decades.<\/p>\n

So what was happening here was the cleansing of Mrs. Clinton\u2019s record in advance of her presidential run in 2016, setting her up. Folks, this was banana republic kind of stuff. You talk about two different worlds in isolation. The ruling class, the political class, existing within its own borders, and its own world, and its own set of rules and taking care of each other and making sure that everything is fine. This is a perfunctory hearing. We had to get it out of the way, waiting for Mrs. Clinton to testify. She\u2019s been so devoted to the secretary of state job. She got sick. She\u2019s given so much to her country. She got sick. She got really bad sick, stomachache, flu. She was sniffling, blowing her nose. She had a sore throat, was really bad.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s given up so much for this country. She\u2019s given up everything. She gave everything to marry Clinton. She gave everything to prop up Bill Clinton. She gave everything. She withstood all that humiliation during the Clinton years. Clinton running around with Gennifer Flowers and Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick, Monica Lewinsky. Hillary hung in there, and Hillary made it possible for Clinton to hang in there, and Hillary, the bimbo eruptions. I mean, she\u2019s given everything to this country. She has sacrificed. She has subordinated herself to everybody\u2019s pleasures and preferences, and finally it\u2019s time for her to be rewarded and the party knows that they gave her the shaft in the 2008 presidential campaign.<\/line><\/p>\n

That was hers. That was the plum. That was the prize. That was the payoff for hanging in with Clinton. That was the payoff for marrying Clinton. You go back to the days of her youth with Clinton. They\u2019re both at Yale and Harvard and Columbia and Wellesley or wherever else these people go, and, you know, she\u2019s in the library and a bookworm and Clinton can have his pick of women, picks Hillary. And what does he do? Takes her to Arkansas. That\u2019s part of the south, you know, where Lincoln didn\u2019t finish the job. That\u2019s where all the pro-lifers are, all the gun nuts, the bitter clingers, and Hillary moved there. It\u2019s so beneath her. She went to Arkansas because at that point it was all about Bill Clinton. Everything was about Clinton, him becoming president.<\/p>\n

She gave up what could have been her own life. She could have written the ticket. She\u2019s the most brilliant student to come out of Yale, the most brilliant student to come out of Wellesley. She wrote the best doctoral thesis. She loves Saul Alinsky. She had it all down. She could have written her ticket, any law firm, any political job, any political office, and she punted. She gave it all away. She violated every tenet of feminism. She blew it all off and married Clinton. She went down there to the Rose Law Firm and Clinton making 25 grand as governor. She had to be the breadwinner in addition to everything else that she had to do, and they had to do all this in Arkansas.<\/p>\n

And while she\u2019s there Clinton\u2019s running around getting involved with Whitewater, with Jim McDougal, Susan McDougal, and then Gennifer Flowers and whatever other TV anchors Clinton can glom onto. There\u2019s Juanita Broaddrick, “put some ice on that,” that lip. “It\u2019s a little swollen. You might put some ice on it,” Clinton said. And then Kathleen Willey, the campaign, health care, the Hillary bus tour blew up in her face. Health care didn\u2019t happen.<\/p>\n

They gave her all kinds of things as a payoff for making sure Clinton survived, and it was her turn in 2008. That was the payoff, that\u2019s what it was all about and out of the blue, “Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm! Mmm! Mmm!” LA Times writes the column the “Magic Negro” and they\u2019re off to the races. And, meanwhile, Mrs. Clinton doesn\u2019t know what happened. She\u2019s sitting there, she was stunned. It was hers. I mean, I remember telling you on this program, two years out, 2006, there is a 75% chance that Hillary Clinton\u2019s gonna be the next president of the United States. Everybody thought that she was a shoo-in for the nomination and everybody on our side had this fear of the Clintons and if they run they win and she\u2019s gonna be the next president.<\/p>\n

And then at the Democrat convention Michelle (My Belle) without the new hairdo and without all the bling introduces Obama. He comes up, makes this great blue state, purple state, red state, bipartisan, we\u2019re all in this together love speech, and everybody said, “Ooh, I love this guy. We got a chance here to really go to town.” So the Democrats said, “What would we rather have, a woman candidate or a black young guy?” And they said we\u2019re gonna make hay, we nominate the black guy young guy, and so all the promises made to Hillary, they pulled the rug out from under her.<\/p>\n

And she went into debt. She racked up campaign debt like nobody\u2019s ever racked up campaign debt, 25, $30 million of campaign debt. Do you realize just this week her campaign debt was paid off? Do you think there\u2019s any coincidence in the fact that her campaign debt was paid off and her appearance before the joint committee today to talk about the guy in Benghazi? I don\u2019t. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s any coincidence at all.<\/p>\n

She got the campaign debt paid off. She\u2019s free and clear, ready to go for 2016. They\u2019re just trying to make amends because they gave her the shaft. It was hers in 2008, folks, and here came Obama, and we all know what happened. The press got behind Obama. Nobody would tell the truth about Obama, and Hillary said, “What do I have to do? I propped up Clinton, I moved to Arkansas, I did health care, and then I put up with Gennifer Flowers and Monica Lewinsky — the ‘bimbo eruptions.\u2019 I lived in Arkansas. I worked at Rose Law Firm.<\/p>\n

“I had to learn about pork bellies and so forth in order to make some money in the stock market, \u2019cause my husband couldn\u2019t earn any money \u2019cause he\u2019s a creep. What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do?” And then they got this Obama guy, and she was devastated. So Obama makes her secretary of state, keeping her viable, keeping her close, keeping the Clintons close. She does secretary of state, travels millions of miles. She uses all of her intelligence, all of her stamina, all of her devotion, her competence, her brilliance, her beauty, her compassion, her caring, her concern, her qualifications, her wardrobe, her earrings, her love of country, the hairdos, the various dresses, devotion to ambassadors.<\/p>\n

And today was when everybody circled the wagons for her and she got a clean slate. Everything\u2019s fine. There wasn\u2019t anything wrong. “What difference does it make how these four Americans died? I don\u2019t know about Susan Rice. I couldn\u2019t care less about Susan Rice!” She threw Susan Rice under the bus, \u2019cause that\u2019s part of the deal, too. So now it\u2019s all over. Her record\u2019s cleansed, the campaign debt\u2019s retired, and Mrs. Clinton\u2019s path is set. She\u2019s soon to be leaving the secretary of state gig, a little recharge of the batteries.<\/line><\/p>\n

She\u2019ll head home, keep a little eye on Bill now just to make it look good, but basically she got a Get Out of Jail Free Card. Now it\u2019s time to take a look down the road at the future, make sure that all the ducks are in a row. Biden is no Obama. Taking Biden out is gonna be easy. Biden has run for president numerous times and never gotten close. He\u2019s getting all full of himself right now, but he\u2019s a sitting duck. So 2016 is waiting to happen, that is if Obama decides to abdicate. You know, Obama may not give up the crown, just like Queen Elizabeth.<\/p>\n

Her son, Prince Charles, has been hanging around waiting for almost 85 years here to become king, and it doesn\u2019t look like it\u2019s gonna happen. The queen\u2019s mother lived to be a hundred years old. The queen\u2019s family lives a long time. For Prince Charles, every night\u2019s a charity dinner with Camilla. They go off here; they go off there. He\u2019s waiting. He\u2019s never gonna be king. Hillary is waiting to be president, but it all depends on whether Obama will abdicate the throne. Will he leave the Oval Orifice in 2016?<\/line><\/p>\n

We can\u2019t know until 2016 arrives. So what we had here, folks, was the ruling class circling the wagons and protecting each other. Party affiliation did not matter. We\u2019re always hoping at hearings like this that somebody on our side is gonna stand up and give the Democrats what-for, somebody is gonna stand up and nail \u2019em to the cross or whatever, ask the tough questions, get to the bottom of it just as the Democrats do with our judicial nominees or anybody in our party who falls in the crosshairs.<\/p>\n

We keep waiting for it, and it never happens. They never do it. Republicans never do it, half because they don\u2019t think what the Democrats did was so bad in the first place, and the other, they don\u2019t want to call any attention to themselves for being like the Democrats on spending and that kind of stuff.<\/p>\n

So that sets the table. We\u2019ve got sound bites. We\u2019re loaded today. All kinds of fun stuff, so sit tight, we\u2019ll be back and continue with all the rest of it after this.<\/p>\n
