CALLER: Hey, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I love you. I\u2019d have your baby if I could. But we\u2019re losing this fight.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You would —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Bob Beckel said something last night on The Five that I agree with. It\u2019s not about numbers, statistics, logical arguments, or nothing. People just don\u2019t like us. They hate us. That\u2019s all there is to it.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

RUSH: Who are we talking about?<\/p>\n

CALLER: If you have an (R) beside your name or if you\u2019re conservative, you\u2019re hated and you\u2019re distrusted, and we want to get even with you. We don\u2019t care if we get anything, we don\u2019t care if our lives are better, because our lives are miserable anyway. All we care about is we don\u2019t like you, and we want to punish you. That\u2019s it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Who was Beckel talking about?<\/p>\n

CALLER: They were going through all the numbers, the economy contracting, black unemployment, all of these things, and they asked Beckel, “Why would people vote for Obama?” He said, “The bottom line is it\u2019s not that they\u2019re really voting for him, they just don\u2019t like you. They just don\u2019t like Republicans.” <\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute, who is “they”?<\/p>\n

CALLER: The people on the Five, you know, Eric Bolling —<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, no. What people don\u2019t like Republicans? What people are we talking about here?<\/p>\n

CALLER: If you want to call them the uninformed voters. I mean, I wouldn\u2019t use that term, but if you want to call \u2019em that, just die-hard uninformed voters, young kids, Democrats, Occupy Wall Street, unions, you could look at all of these unions —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. All right. So, for example, Beckel was saying that no matter what we do, no matter what the Republicans do, they\u2019re never gonna get the Hispanic vote because Hispanics don\u2019t like \u2019em?<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s it. That\u2019s all there is to it. They\u2019ve been told how evil you and I are. We\u2019re evil, all we care about is greedy, rich people, and if we paved the streets in gold and gave them everything they wanted, there would be an ulterior motive, and Democrats would outbid us every time.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, I don\u2019t disagree, in a theoretical sense here. In fact, I\u2019ve said it myself, that the express purpose is the elimination of any opposition. I\u2019ve said that the Democrats despise us more than they despise Al-Qaeda. We\u2019re a bigger threat to them than Al-Qaeda. So I know what Beckel is talking about. But he\u2019s really saying there\u2019s nothing we can do, they hate us, we could give \u2019em anything?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

CALLER: Absolutely. I believe that, Rush. I told you this back in the \u201910 election with the gal in Nevada and everything like that, and you told me if she can\u2019t beat Harry Reid, as bad and evil as she is, then it might be time to bar the doors. And I believe it. I believe we\u2019ve lost this argument. I believe we\u2019ve lost this country. I really do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. So I was gonna ask you what we can do to change it, and you think nothing, it\u2019s gone?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t think we can do anything, Rush. I mean, Romney was wrong, but he was right. When he said 47% of the voters are never gonna vote for him, I know what he meant. Just like I know what you meant when you said, “I hope Obama fails.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Romney didn\u2019t mean let\u2019s write off that 47%, or they\u2019re all a bunch of greedy takers or anything like that. He meant that 47% of the people are never gonna trust a Republican and never like \u2019em.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: The thing he was right about is —<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. So I guess I\u2019d better find a guest host for the next hour. It doesn\u2019t matter.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s not time to panic yet. People continue to ask the question. I can\u2019t tell you specifically — and you know, I\u2019m not into false hope, and I don\u2019t lie to myself. I just have… I don\u2019t know, folks, I just can\u2019t believe we\u2019re gonna lose this country. And I don\u2019t believe we have.<\/p>\n

I just can\u2019t believe we\u2019re going to, not while I\u2019m alive. I just don\u2019t see it happening. I know we\u2019re close and all that, and I\u2019m not in denial here. I\u2019m really not. I\u2019m trying to be as honest with you as I can. I don\u2019t know what\u2019s gonna stop this. I don\u2019t know what\u2019s gonna result in Obama not succeeding. Maybe it is blind faith, but it\u2019s not hope. I\u2019ll tell you it\u2019s more than hope. It\u2019s more than just, “Gosh, I hope something happens.” It\u2019s more than that. I think there\u2019s gonna be something. I don\u2019t know whether it\u2019ll be an awakening, or rebirth, I don\u2019t think what. That\u2019s why I\u2019m here. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Thanks, Rush, for taking my call. Over 20 years of dittos to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: A comment and a question after, if I may.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I disagree with the caller that says there\u2019s no hope and nothing can be done. My sixth removed great-grandfather is Robert Morris, the financier of the Revolutionary War. He died penniless in a pauper\u2019s prison. So I was always taught you work harder and faster than everybody else. I\u2019m a self-made builder and developer. In 2010 I was millions in debt and almost got trashed because of the election. I got investors to believe in me. I worked harder and faster; I\u2019m now out of debt and have an opportunity for another subdivision. I think we are doing it.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We have to fight harder, and we have Marco Rubio. We have fighters. My brother-in-law\u2019s a commissioner here in our county. My daughter, who\u2019s 24, is incredible. She\u2019s running in the next term. I\u2019ve got Hispanics that work for me. I had them turned around and they voted for Romney because we went through and we worked through it. We read the Constitution. We\u2019re a nation of fighters, and morality is the only thing that matters, and we have to teach our kids that, and if we\u2019re not doing it in our own communities…? I mean, there is hope!<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I think there is. See, I happen to agree with you. What Obama\u2019s doing is devastating this country, and millions and millions and millions see it. There were 64 million who didn\u2019t vote for Obama. The 2010 elections prove that we have not lost the country. The problem is — and you nailed it — there isn\u2019t effective political conservative\/Republican leadership right now. That\u2019s what\u2019s absent. If that were present?<\/p>\n

If there were somebody that were articulate, inspiring, infectious — and that\u2019ll happen at some point.<\/p>\n

Maybe Rubio, I don\u2019t know. But it is happening. You just pointed out the things that you\u2019re doing in Wyoming and your state, your neighborhood, your community, your business. That\u2019s where all of these opposition items and things are taking place. They\u2019re not being reported on to any great extent, but they\u2019re happening. People are leaving the state of California, for example, because of taxes. There\u2019s all kinds of indication out there that a number of Americans have had enough and are fighting back in their own way just like you are.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Amen. Can I just ask you one question?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Quickly, yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: My son, Luke, when he was five — he\u2019s now 23, and he\u2019s a graduate and a brilliant young man — when we were listening on the radio years ago on the job site, said, “Can we invite Rush to lunch?” I said, “Well, I really can\u2019t.” He goes, “Well, you can at least ask.” So I tried for 15 years to get through, and I just want to tell him that I\u2019m inviting you to lunch, and I\u2019m gonna tell my son Luke that I fulfilled my obligation, maybe almost 20 years later.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. Well, I appreciate that. I\u2019m flattered that you would want me to come eat lunch with you and your family. Thank you very much. I don\u2019t eat lunch, as you know, because I\u2019m on the air during lunch, but I still nevertheless appreciate the invitation.
