You know, what I believe is going on is I think that the Republicans are out to wreck the country by holding America hostage and squeezing Barack Obama into a deal to prevent the sequester from going through. You know, and I think that this is not right to begin with.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Wait, wait, wait, wait. I want to understand. I\u2019m a little foggy here. You think the Republicans want to wreck the economy with the sequester, hold Obama hostage so that he, what, has to go along with it?<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_72515\" class=\"aligncenter\" align=\"middle\" alt=\"original\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/RushDittocamBoehner.jpg\"\/><BR\/>CALLER: Basically what I\u2019m getting at, sir, is what the Republicans want to do is basically wreck the economy with the sequester by holding America hostage and squeezing Obama into a deal.<\/line><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: How does that work?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: How does it work?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, yeah, wrecking the economy, what would wreck the economy?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: That\u2019s what the sequester is.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, I know, but what is it, how does it wreck the economy?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: How does it wreck it? By crashing the stock market. By basically killing Medicare, Medicaid, the Pentagon, Social Security, you name it. That\u2019s what their goal is, to destroy everything.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter\" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/ObamaVSAmerica1.jpg\"\/><BR\/>RUSH: Leonard, is this really Joe Biden? You\u2019re really Joe Biden, aren\u2019t you? &#8216;Cause this is the kind of thing he would call here and say.<\/line><\/p>\n<p>CALLER: No, I\u2019m a Democrat, and I know exactly what the hell I\u2019m talking about.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Leonard, you\u2019ve just admitted you don\u2019t know what the hell you\u2019re talking about, and that confirms it. Leonard, there is no crashing of the economy. There is no crashing Medicare. There is no killing Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, killing the Pentagon. Over the next ten years, Leonard, we\u2019re gonna spend $44 trillion. If we do the sequester we\u2019re gonna spend $43 trillion, Leonard. As is the case with all spending cuts, it\u2019s really not big enough to matter. Don\u2019t doubt me, Leonard. I wouldn\u2019t lie to you. I have no reason to.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Leonard, you need to be blaming Obama. The sequester was his idea. It was Obama who demanded it. What Leonard said is exactly what the media has been saying all day and all night about this, folks.
