CALLER: Hi, Rush. I\u2019ve been depressed since November. And I agree with what you say about us being outnumbered. The libs have won. It sounds like you\u2019re giving up. I don\u2019t know what we\u2019re gonna do. This country is just dying, and I\u2019m watching it, and it\u2019s horrifying.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, wait a minute. What makes you think that I\u2019ve given up?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Because I hear you talking about how we\u2019re outnumbered, the liberals are —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, for now, yeah. We\u2019re outnumbered.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But if we\u2019re already outnumbered, how do we ever get a vote to get the right kind of people back in there?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

RUSH: How did it get to the point that they outnumbered us? It took \u2019em 50 years or longer.<\/p>\n

CALLER: So are you saying it\u2019s gonna take 50 years to get back to our country?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it\u2019s gonna take some time, yeah, it\u2019s gonna take some commitment. Damn right. There have been way too many people that haven\u2019t cared about enough for long enough. This is what happens to you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I won\u2019t live long enough to see my country the way it was, then.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I probably won\u2019t, either, but I\u2019m not gonna stop trying because there are kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, and all that, and it\u2019s what we do.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just don\u2019t see how, if we\u2019ve already been outvoted by the people who want to sit on their butts and not take care of themselves, and they want everybody else to take care of them, how do we outvote that?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Don\u2019t forget, a lot of these people who you characterize as sitting on their butts don\u2019t think they\u2019re doing that. You tell them they\u2019re voting for Santa Claus and they\u2019re offended. Even though they are, they don\u2019t think so. They can be won over. They can be had.<\/p>\n

CALLER: How?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Events. Right now we are a prisoner to unknown events that will happen that will shake people\u2019s faith in what\u2019s happening. I am totally convinced. Combined with the ongoing efforts that we\u2019re engaging in here. But reality is coming. This stuff can\u2019t go on. It cannot sustain itself. It will implode. It\u2019s only a matter of time. You\u2019re just reacting to we\u2019re not able to persuade people with words. Fine. We\u2019ve done our best, we set a foundation. Events.
