RUSH: I\u2019m not crazy about doing nine and ten, but… (interruption) Well, those are the O\u2019Reilly\/Alan Colmes sound bites. You know, Mr. O\u2019Reilly went off on Mr. Colmes last night over Obama and the sequester and the budget, which is fine. I don\u2019t have a problem with that per se. I don\u2019t have a problem with anything.<\/p>\n

Well, I actually do, but it may not even be worth it to bring it up. I\u2019m still thinking about it. In the meantime, greetings and welcome back. (interruption) Well, look, O\u2019Reilly starts out — Mr. O\u2019Reilly starts out — with his Talking Points Memo. I want one of those, by the way. I want to have a memo that talks in points. I\u2019ve been working on it. I\u2019ve got a program on my computer called Text to Speech, and what you do is you highlight the text, and you hit a keystroke, and it speaks to you.<\/p>\n

So I\u2019ve been writing memos, my own memos just to me to remind myself of things, and they talk back to me. So I have a talking points memo. Anyway, in setting up the segment that was to come with Mr. Colmes, Mr. O\u2019Reilly said that he had a big, big problem with President Obama. But he made the point of telling his audience that it wasn\u2019t ideological. The translation for that is Mr. O\u2019Reilly was saying to his audience, “Don\u2019t confuse me with these conservatives.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m not coming to you here as a right-winger. Don\u2019t think of me as a right-winger! Don\u2019t think of me as a conservative. I\u2019m not one of those loudmouths. My problem with Obama is substantive. My problem with Obama is over his performance. But I don\u2019t have an ideological problem.” Well, I don\u2019t know how you separate the two, is my problem. Obama is who he is because of his ideology and if you oppose what Obama is doing, there has to be an ideological component.<\/p>\n

But if you don\u2019t want to be known for that, if you don\u2019t want to stand for that, I think that\u2019s one of the problems. We have too few people… See, this is why I\u2019m about to step in it. There\u2019s nothing to be gained here. There\u2019s literally nothing to be gained. (laughing) So, anyway, that\u2019s coming up. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

This is last night on Fox News Channel, The O\u2019Reilly Factor, Mr. O\u2019Reilly speaking with syndicated radio host (everybody\u2019s a syndicated radio host) Alan Colmes about President Obama\u2019s agenda, and O\u2019Reilly said he\u2019s not being ideological. His problem with the president is not ideological. Do not accuse him of being a conservative! His problem with Obama is substance and procedure and behavior. So then he said to Mr. Colmes, “The president is willing to have Americans suffer for the greater good of trying to have Nancy Pelosi be the new Speaker of the House,” and you\u2019ll also hear syndicated radio host Monica Crowley in this bite.<\/p>\n

COLMES: It\u2019s one thing to say he wants to flip the House. It\u2019s another thing to say he purposely wants the American people to suffer. I don\u2019t believe that for a second.<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: He\u2019s making it impossible to get anything to done. Do you agree with that?<\/p>\n

COLMES: I disagree with what\u2019s being said here. He\u2019s offered $2.50 in tax cuts for every dollar in tax increases.<\/p>\n

CROWLEY: What are you talking about?<\/p>\n

COLMES: He\u2019s offered cuts in Medicare. He\u2019s offered cuts in entitlements.<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: No! That\u2019s not specific. Hold it, because now I\u2019m getting teed off at you.<\/p>\n

COLMES: (nervous chuckle)<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: Give me ONE DAMN PROGRAM he said he cut.<\/p>\n

COLMES: He said —<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: WHAT?<\/p>\n

COLMES: He has cut entitlements. It\u2019s —<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: (banging table)<\/p>\n

COLMES: — and Medicare.<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: (screaming) NOT ENTITLEMENTS!<\/p>\n

COLMES: W-why are you yelling?<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: ONE PROGRAM!<\/p>\n

COLMES: What do you want to yell at me?<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: Because you\u2019re lying.<\/p>\n

COLMES: I\u2019m not lying, Bill. Don\u2019t call me a liar.<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: You are lying here.<\/p>\n

COLMES: Don\u2019t you sit there and call me a liar.<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: No, you\u2019re lying.<\/p>\n

COLMES: I\u2019m not lying!<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: Hey, here\u2019s the proof. Here\u2019s the proof.<\/p>\n

COLMES: You don\u2019t like the president.<\/p>\n

O\u2019REILLY: No! No!<\/p>\n

COLMES: We can have a disagreement without you calling me a liar. That\u2019s not necessary. That\u2019s a personal attack.<\/p>\n
