Bush Presidential Library, President Obama made remarks, and, in his remarks, he decided to make a big push for immigration reform.  People e-mailed me who were there, who said everybody there got a little uncomfortable because it just felt out of place, given the purpose of this event today.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"eZObject_75590\" class=\"aligncenter\" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/ObamaGeorgeBushLibrary042513PIX.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>OBAMA:  Seven years ago President Bush restarted an important conversation by speaking with the American people about our history as a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants.  And even though comprehensive immigration reform has taken a little longer than any of us expected, I am hopeful that this year, with the help of Speaker Boehner and some of the senators and members of Congress who are here today, that we bring it home for our families and our economy and our security and for this incredible country that we love.  And if we do that it will be in large part thanks to the hard work of President George W. Bush.  (applause)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Right on, right on. Now, that is the part of Obama\u2019s remarks today where he came alive.  He was said to be pretty deferential and respectful, unlike Obama normally is, but he gets to this, invokes Bush, and we gotta do it for the Gipper and we gotta do it for the families and we gotta grant amnesty for our economy and we gotta grant amnesty for our security and for our incredible country that we love and the reason we really have to do it is because, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=12615\">as the Politico said<\/a>, if this bill is signed into law, it\u2019s the end of the Republican Party for a generation. <\/p>\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"585\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bmk8JEGzHeU\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Politico said this, not me, folks.  The Politico told the truth about the Gang of Eight immigration bill, that it is essentially going to register so many brand-new Democrats, Republicans can\u2019t keep up.  Now, I know asking, &#8220;Why, Rush, are the Republicans doing this?  Do they not understand it?&#8221;  I don\u2019t know.  I don\u2019t know.  I\u2019ll just tell you that I think the Republicans believe what their consultants tell \u2019em, and I think they believe what their pollsters tell \u2019em, and I think what they\u2019re being told is, &#8220;You guys are hated, and you guys aren\u2019t gonna win anything until you extend outreach to the Hispanics.  You gotta make the Hispanic people of this country love you or you don\u2019t have a prayer.  And the only way you can make the Hispanic people love you is by changing your tune on immigration \u2019cause right now they think you hate \u2019em.  But if you change your way on immigration they\u2019ll know that you don\u2019t hate \u2019em and then everything will be fine.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>I think that\u2019s what they\u2019re being told, along with the idea that they\u2019re just seen as obstructers.  And until that changes and they start agreeing with the Democrats more, they\u2019re never gonna get anywhere.
