RUSH: This is Chris in Brooklyn. Welcome, sir. You\u2019re on Open Line Friday. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, Rush. How you doing?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Very good.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I wanted to call and vent a little bit. I lost my brother on 9\/11, who was killed in the World Trade Center. He went in to go to work one day and then Muslim terrorists slammed two planes in the building, and we lost him forever. He\u2019d just become a father, and the token phrases that was added to that day was “never forget.” I guess some people don\u2019t realize “never forget” means forever because over the past 12 years it\u2019s been a struggle to try and get past it all when I have a reminder every day and let alone my government seems to forget.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me ask you a question. Chris, let me ask you a question.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ever since that incident, every time we\u2019ve had an act of terrorism since then, the media in this country, or administrations in this country, or foreign countries: “It\u2019s not Islam. That\u2019s not Islamist. Don\u2019t start judging.” How does that make you feel when you hear that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Boy, I tell you, it\u2019s been a struggle.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But when you put it in context, “never forget, never forget, never forget.”<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know. I know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: “Oh, there\u2019s nothing to see here. That\u2019s not terrorism.” It\u2019s got to be maddening for people like you to hear something like that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It can be, and it\u2019s been a struggle but, you know, my brother had just become a father.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hang on just a second. Gotta take a break. Don\u2019t go away.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This is Chris in Brooklyn. I didn\u2019t mean to interrupt you, but the broadcast clock gave me no choice.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I understand, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You were saying? Please continue.<\/p>\n

CALLER: As I was saying, you know, it\u2019s infuriating. You know, every time you see these on the news,. I mean, Benghazi, I couldn\u2019t believe when I heard Ambassador Rice talking about some movie<\/a>, I mean, when probably most of the Muslim countries overseas don\u2019t even have computers or access, I just couldn\u2019t believe it, let alone, I didn\u2019t see why Hillary Clinton wasn\u2019t out speaking and now after seeing her in front of Congress, it\u2019s just infuriating. And you gotta sometimes, you know, sit back and take a deep breath because I do have a nephew, my brother\u2019s son to raise and you don\u2019t want to get so infuriated you\u2019re gonna, you know, start a riot. But I just can\u2019t believe every time I turn around I see a president making excuses for these Muslim terrorists, which he just doesn\u2019t want to acknowledge, from back in Cairo. You know, after 9\/11 is when I really got interested in politics and having to be in the know, because I felt I had to —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I can imagine.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — I had to know what was going on. I think the downfall of probably the mainstream media was the loss of Tim Russert. I think he was fantastic. I think he was one of the best I had ever witnessed. But I\u2019m, unfortunately, I guess ill-informed because I watch Fox a lot, although I tried to give a lot other stations a chance, but I just couldn\u2019t get any information, let alone any information about Benghazi —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, you won\u2019t get any. There\u2019s a cover-up going on. What is really fascinating about Benghazi is they are saying that they\u2019re gonna be talking to a lot of people and forcing questions on a lot of people, but in no story can you find any reference to Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is being totally shielded. They want her to think, like they wanted her to think in \u201908, that she\u2019s the next Democrat Party nominee. It\u2019s finally going to be her turn, and so they\u2019re circling the wagons and doing everything they can to protect her, but they\u2019re also trying to eliminate from the public consciousness that Benghazi was anything other than an ad hoc protest, pure and simple.<\/p>\n

The people in this administration know exactly what they\u2019re doing. They know that they\u2019ve got a very sympathetic and complicit media, and they know that they have a lazy media, and they\u2019ve got a media that does not want to find Obama responsible for any of this. And so they won\u2019t. So people like you, I have some friends who lost sons and other family members 9\/11. And they\u2019re never going to forget it or be over it, I don\u2019t even know if that\u2019s the right way to put it. But they\u2019re frustrated every day. The thing that happened in England and Christiane Amanpour<\/a> referred to it as just a onesie or twosie here, these little knock-off terrorists, as Joe Biden calls them.<\/p>\n

The mayor of London comes out (impression), “Don\u2019t anyone make the mistake of assuming that this is Islam. It\u2019s not Muslim, this isn\u2019t Muslim terrorism.” And then we hear the British troops are told not to wear their uniforms off base. The uniform is too provocative, but there\u2019s nothing to be afraid of here. There\u2019s nothing really going on. These are just lone wolf operators, not tied to anything. And it has a lot of people bamboozled. They don\u2019t understand why the one entity that\u2019s supposed to be attuned and protect and defend everybody doesn\u2019t see or claims not to see the real threat. So I feel for you.
