CALLER: Thank you very much, Rush, for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s an absolute pleasure. You just keep up the good work. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir, very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I wanted to call in and talk to you about this immigration issue. I live out here in the Badlands of Texas, out here around Lubbock, Texas. And we have a whole bunch of illegal immigrants, undocumented guest workers, or illegal aliens. Which one of those is correct, I don\u2019t know, but there\u2019s a whole bunch of them out here. I know a lot of these people, some of them going back eleven years. They\u2019ve been here 11 years.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Today I went out and was doing some ag\u2019 work on some of the farms out here and got to talking to some of these guys, asking them about what they think about this. And they\u2019re very, very concerned. A lot of them were telling me, “Well, we really don\u2019t want to become United States citizens.” There\u2019s two things that they brought up that really scared me. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Nooooooow —<\/p>\n

CALLER: They do not want to become United States citizens. I said, “Why not?” They\u2019re afraid that the United States government is going to take so much taxes out of their paychecks once they have to pay into the federal income tax.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Are you kidding me on this? <\/p>\n

CALLER: I am dead serious. They do not want to become American citizens.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me ask you a question. So we\u2019re going to have amnesty here. You know what? These people are going to have to become citizens, right? <\/p>\n

CALLER: No! They don\u2019t have to march in and register. That\u2019s never been proposed. They\u2019re afraid that the government is going to take a lot of money in taxes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I take it back. Illegal immigration will continue at 75%. <\/p>\n

CALLER: The money is going to be taken out of their paychecks, and they won\u2019t have it to send home to their families.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s right, a pathway! They\u2019ll be put on a pathway, so it will be an option. They don\u2019t have to become citizens. They can stay in the shadows, which is where I want to go. I\u2019m looking for the shadows, by the way. <\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s the first point that they brought up. The second point that was concerning them, though, is the scuttle talk… These guys were the guys from Mexico. I didn\u2019t talk to the Hondurans, the El Salvadorans, the Bolivians, and the guys from down there in Guatemala. I didn\u2019t even talk to those guys. These are guys are from Mexico.<\/p>\n

The second thing that has really got them concerned is the talk back home. The guys back home in Mexico are getting ready to make a massive surge into our country. As this thing starts progressing and they\u2019re watching it, they\u2019re going to start making a massive surge. You think we\u2019ve got 300 or 400 a day down here a day in Texas coming across? It will be three, four thousand a day. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Why does that bother them? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Pardon me? <\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you said they don\u2019t want this to happen. <\/p>\n

CALLER: They\u2019re afraid they\u2019re going it lose their jobs. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

CALLER: They\u2019re afraid that the immigration that\u2019s going to occur is going to cause them to lose their jobs, that they\u2019re going to have to compete against cheaper labor. <\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019ve got to be kidding me. This is getting —<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s unbelievable, Rush. <\/p>\n

RUSH: This is the theater of the absurd. So we have illegals worried that more of them will cause wages to fall and maybe jobs to be lost?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Correct. Now these guys are very, very concerned about this. <\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, wait until the Republican Party hears about this. They\u2019re doing all of this to be loved by the Hispanics. Wait until the Republican Party finds out that a lot of the illegals currently here don\u2019t want any more! (laughing) You know, I\u2019d like to be in the room with Steve Schmidt or some Republican walks in to Rubio and says, “Hey, you know what? We may have a problem here.” <\/p>\n

“Yeah? What\u2019s that?” <\/p>\n

“A lot of the illegals here don\u2019t want amnesty and they don\u2019t want it for anybody not yet here in the country.”<\/p>\n

“Oh? Why?”<\/p>\n

“Because they don\u2019t want to become citizens and they don\u2019t want competition for their jobs. They don\u2019t want their wages to fall.”<\/p>\n

The Republican will say, “You mean we\u2019re doing this and the Hispanics are going to get mad at us?”<\/p>\n

“Yes, it\u2019s entirely possible.”<\/p>\n
