RUSH: We have a gal from Draper, Virginia — her name\u2019s Tina — on hold, and she has a fabulous question. I almost wanna steal it, her observation is so good. I don\u2019t often hear anything I want to steal from anybody, but… In fact, let me get it now, \u2019cause if I don\u2019t take the call I\u2019m gonna steal it from her and she\u2019s gonna accuse me of stealing her thunder and she\u2019d be right. So here\u2019s Tina in Draper, Virginia. Tina, what is your observation about the poll that says that eight out of nine illegals would not vote Republican?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was just curious: If they can find them to poll them or to survey them, that doesn\u2019t make sense to me. It kind of confuses me, because I thought they were saying that to get \u2019em out of the shadows and to find \u2019em, we first had to legalize \u2019em.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly right. I didn\u2019t even think of this. I got so caught up in the substance of the story that I missed it. This is the kind of thing I normally catch.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s what I kept waiting for you to say.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I know.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I thought you were gonna say it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Don\u2019t tell me you were let down.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, no, no, no, no. No.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Good. But it\u2019s a great point. Okay. So they\u2019ve got a poll out, the Pew Research Center, and it basically says that illegals would vote Democrat by an eight-to-one margin. Well, how do they know? We think the illegals are in the shadows and we\u2019re gonna have to do amnesty to drag \u2019em out of the shadows. “They\u2019re in the shadows, and we don\u2019t know who they are,” but the Pew people apparently found \u2019em! Excellent, excellent point. Tina, thanks much. I\u2019m glad you got in. I\u2019m glad you made it through with that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Tina from Draper, Virginia. So we\u2019ll have more on that as the program unfolds. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: “A poll released Monday by Pew Research Center shows that Latino illegal immigrants, given the opportunity to vote, would vote Democratic at an eight-to-one clip; 31% of illegal immigrants of Latino descent identify themselves as Democrats, compared to just 4% who identify as Republicans; another 23% lean Democrat, compared with 15% who lean Republican. Over time, illegal immigrants also begin identifying with political parties.<\/p>\n

“For those in the US under ten years, 26% identified with Democrats against 9% for Republicans,” and the bottom line is: “Overall, Latino immigrants eligible to vote identify as Democrats vs. Republicans at a 54% to 11% clip.” That\u2019s Latino immigrants eligible to vote. Now, the Washington Post misreports this. Their headline says: “Illegal Immigrants Favor Democrats 54 to 19.” It\u2019s Latino immigrants eligible to vote favor Democrats 54 to 11.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Illegals favor Democrats eight to one. But again, we had a brilliant caller who asked the question: “Where did Pew find the illegals to take the poll?” The illegals, we are told, are living in the shadows — and we are furthermore told that the illegals will not come out of the shadows until they were promised a pathway to citizenship and\/or amnesty. Yet the researchers for the Pew Research Center were able to find them. <\/p>\n

They either found their cell phone numbers, their throwaway cell phone numbers, their land line phone numbers — or they were able to knock on the door where they live. We don\u2019t know how this is possible. The Republican Party, the Democrat Party tells us that we have to do this to bring these people out of the shadows. Folks, I\u2019m not trying to be funny here. Washington — forget Republican\/Democrat — Washington is telling us we have to do amnesty to find out who these people are. <\/p>\n

We have to do amnesty to find out how many there are. We think it\u2019s 11 million, 12 million. We have to do this to find out who they are so that we know what we\u2019re dealing with. We have to find out who they are and how many there are so that we can gauge whether or not border security is working, and we have to do this before we secure the border. That\u2019s the latest from the Republican Party and the Gang of Eight. <\/p>\n

“We gotta do amnesty, pathway, before border security, because we have to know how many we\u2019re talking about.” (chuckles) Yet the Pew Research Center was able to find \u2019em and learn that by an eight-to-one margin they plan on voting Democrat. Now, as I said earlier, ladies and gentlemen, the reason I believe this is because previous polling data backs this up in polls of legal immigrants and how they vote.<\/p>\n

They vote 70% Democrat — 73% Democrat, in fact. Now, if the Pew people and the Democrats were trying even more to get the Republicans to commit suicide, they would have a poll that gave the Republicans more hope. The Pew Center or whoever did this, would produce a poll that said that illegal immigrants favor Democrats by 50 to 40%. That would give the Republicans hope. That would force Senator McCain out on his podium.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“See? See? This is why we must do this. They are waiting to vote for us. Why, we\u2019re already at 40% without doing anything! If we grant them amnesty, we might get over 50%.” But they didn\u2019t do that. The Pew people put out a poll showing the futility for the Republicans of trying to get this group\u2019s votes. It\u2019s interesting. Then there\u2019s a companion story to this from Yahoo News by someone named Liz Goodwin. <\/p>\n

“A Republican-led push to legalize young unauthorized immigrants has been met with stony resistance from groups representing the very ‘Dreamers\u2019 such a bill would help.” In a nutshell, this story says… You know, the DREAM Act would legalize the children here of illegals. This story says that those kids, those young Hispanic kids don\u2019t want to be legalized by Republican policy. They don\u2019t want that. They want the Democrats to do it. <\/p>\n

Proponents of the so-called DREAM Act in this story have rejected the Republicans\u2019 effort to pass their own version of the bill, which is very telling. They want the Democrats to do it. Now, that story here again: You have to look at this and say, “It\u2019s Drive-By Media.” They\u2019re the Democrats; they have an agenda. The agenda here is to wipe out the Republican Party. So you put out a story like this, the tendency is to disbelieve it. <\/p>\n

I find it fascinating that they go and find these young kids, these DREAM Act kids, and quote them saying (summarized), “No, we don\u2019t want the Republican Party to help us. We don\u2019t want their help. We want it to come from the Democrats.” Well, that\u2019s not gonna inspire the Republicans very much, which I would think the Democrats would want to do. Anyway, that\u2019s it on immigration. I just… It\u2019s not surprising, other than the Pew people were able to find the illegals to poll them, or at least enough of them to produce a qualified random sample. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
