RUSH: Well, that didn\u2019t take long, did it? Mediaite,<\/a> which primarily is a TV website, they report what happens on TV with clips and so forth. Mediaite has just reported on the first hour of my program <\/a>today, that maybe Bashar al-Assad was framed and set up. There\u2019s one thing they left out: the source! They did not mention Bodansky. They did not mention the website I cited. They do not mention the quotes I read from the piece. They attribute all of this speculation to me, as though I am advancing the idea that Bashar is being framed, that Al-Qaeda is nerve gassing people, not Bashar, when in fact I don\u2019t know how I could have made it any plainer. <\/p>\n

Let me go to the phones because people have been waiting and I really do hate people waiting this long. <\/p>\n

Walid in Cleveland, you\u2019re up first. It\u2019s great to have you here. Hello, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Good afternoon, Rush. It\u2019s an honor to speak with you, sir. How are you doing today?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Very well. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Listen, I just want to make a comment about president Barack Hussein Obama. First of all, I\u2019d like the American people to know he\u2019s 100% Muslim. And what\u2019s going on in Syria is not what they report. Much as I hate Bashar al-Assad and I want him to be out of power, he didn\u2019t do that to his own people. The Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah (unintelligible) Bashar al-Assad, they did that so the opposition make it look bad and the opposition needs somebody to help \u2019em. That\u2019s why they did it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s the premise of the story that I quoted today, that Assad didn\u2019t and wouldn\u2019t do this. But you say that President Obama\u2019s 100% Muslim. He\u2019s a Christian. He goes to church.<\/p>\n

CALLER: What church?<\/p>\n

RUSH: The Holy Trinity, whatever it is, Reverend Wright\u2019s church.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, yeah, well, that\u2019s a Muslim church.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, it\u2019s a black liberation theology church.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, he doesn\u2019t believe anything in the Constitution of the United States (unintelligible).<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, I know that parts of the Constitution are a problem for him, and he tries to get around it. I understand that. That\u2019s not even arguable. That\u2019s not even in dispute. Barack Obama and his Democrats, the leftists, think the Constitution severely way, way too much limits the government, and they want to change it. But he goes to church now and then. I\u2019ve not seen him go into a mosque. What\u2019s Wright\u2019s church name? It\u2019s Trinity something. It\u2019s Trinity Baptist, whatever. But I know that Reverend Wright\u2019s not an imam, at least not in that church. That\u2019s it, Trinity United Church of Christ. Walid, thanks for the call. Appreciate it. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Good to talk to you. Thank you very much. It\u2019s back to the former Yugoslavia all over again, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

RUSH: It is.<\/p>\n

CALLER: What you and I were talking about 20 years ago.<\/p>\n

RUSH: In 1995, exactly right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: These types of crimes against your people are not just Sarajevo. It happened all over the formula Yugoslavia, and people just fell for all the PR that was given out to the press, et cetera. The press was supposedly doing stories and all they did was sit in the saloons and get drunk and read their PR forms passed in front of them. And, by the way, I carried Yossef Bodansky\u2019s book in my car for 20 years, passing it out to whomever I thought needed an education. There are a lot of people.<\/p>\n

RUSH: He\u2019s excellent. Yossef Bodansky is the piece I cited today, and he has written extensively on how this same kind of deception was in fact used in the Sarajevo — the Bosnian Serbs — the Muslims in Sarajevo, 1995, same exact thing being done here.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: I want to go back and tell you a little bit about Yossef Bodansky whose piece I cited today. I ran across it this morning in show prep. It dovetailed with a couple of e-mails I received on Saturday from friends, that I discounted, by the way. I thought they sounded too tinfoil hat conspiracy stuff. I discarded them. Then I see this piece, and then I learn that this is the same deception that was practiced in 1995. The same deception that was used in Sarajevo in 1995 to provoke air strikes against the Serbs for the benefit of the Bosnian Muslims. <\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

In both cases, Muslims are involved. In both cases, Democrat Party presidents are involved. In both cases, Muslims conduct a deception, an operation of deception that we either are party to, lured into, or we are fooled by, one of the three. And Mr. Bodansky, and I read to you his resume and it\u2019s impressive. And all of this is at RushLimbaugh.com, the article<\/a>, if you want you can read about him on Wikipedia. I don\u2019t want to repeat myself. I\u2019ve got too much here left to do, but he\u2019s highly credible. He has written about this extensively, particularly what happened back in Sarajevo in 1995 to provoke the air strikes against the Serbs. <\/p>\n

We\u2019re right in there, NATO. I\u2019ll never forget, it was a US operation made to look like a NATO operation. Wesley Clark ran the thing for a while. And they had this spokesman that went out there and gave daily or sometimes multiple updates a day on progress. I\u2019ll never forget, you know, I mimic people. Certain things I hear about the way people speak amuse me, and this guy, his name was Jamie something or other, and he\u2019d go to the microphones and he would be extolling the virtues of all the different commanders in all the different theaters of operation. He\u2019d say things like (doing impression), “Our forces there under the capable direction of general such-and-such Braithwaite Throttlewaite. Our forces are a massive success,” went on and on and on. <\/p>\n

You know, this was Clinton acting big time just like Obama is huffing and puffing here, and it was a deception. We were tricked into launching air strikes against the Serbs because we\u2019d been convinced that the Serbs were wreaking havoc against the poor Bosnian Muslims, when in fact the attacks had been provoked by forces sympathetic to the Bosnian Muslims to create this reaction of ours. The same thing is alleged to be happening here, and Mr. Bodansky has written extensively about it. <\/p>\n

So it\u2019s not the first time, and there are things in common. Democrat presidents, Muslims, and I\u2019m not saying — again, I want to be very clear — I\u2019m not saying Bashar Assad\u2019s a good guy. ‘Cause he\u2019s brutal. He\u2019s not an angel by any stretch of the imagination. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, Rush, good to talk to you again.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you very much. I\u2019m glad you waited, John.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, I appreciate it. You know, the amount of disinformation is just unbelievable. You really don\u2019t realize it. I mean, I realized it after serving in Iraq. You really can\u2019t believe maybe a third of what you see on TV, and less what you read. Anyway, to my point, why did infidels have to go 4,000 miles to take care of a, quote, Muslim problem. Why don\u2019t we use the same format that we used in Afghanistan. We had less than 150 Special Forces. Our Special Forces people and air traffic controllers attached to units, the Northern Alliance. Well, you get Turkey from the north, get the Saudis and the Jordanians from the south. And basically we give them air cover. We destroy any tanks. We can watch their movements and let the Muslims fight the Muslims.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I see.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I mean, why hasn\u2019t that even been brought up? Why do the infidels have to take care of it? They hate us anyway supposedly, so why are they calling us to do their dirty work?<\/p>\n

RUSH: So you\u2019re asking, in Syria, Bashar is a Muslim and Al-Qaeda\u2019s Muslim, what are we getting involved for, just let them hash it out?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, not hash it out, but my point is, you know, we are always the problem. No matter what we do we\u2019re portrayed as the evil people, the infidels, you know, and it\u2019s —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh. Oh.<\/p>\n

CALLER: So why don\u2019t we just say, “Okay, listen, Syria, you assume that we want to get rid of Assad now, the (unintelligible) use nerve gas –“<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, this is a good point. Even after what we did for the Bosnian Muslims, you think it bought us anything with them?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Because (unintelligible) which is exactly what they\u2019re doing now and which they continue to do, so why do we even — we say basically you form your own equivalent of NATO. You got a guy in your backyard that\u2019s using chemical weapons, you know, weapons of mass destruction. You guys gotta (unintelligible). We\u2019ll use Special Forces. We\u2019ll give you the cover. There\u2019s a base less than a hundred miles north of Syria and Turkey that we got. It\u2019s a huge base. I can tell you there\u2019s units of the 3rd and 5th Special Forces there already. Just use them and attach it, and let \u2019em into the Turkey army, which is organized, the Jordanian, you know, the F-16s from Syria could be very good, why don\u2019t we just use that?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t know. Instead of what?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Instead of our troops. Basically we can put just minimal amounts —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I don\u2019t think we\u2019re gonna use our troops. I think we\u2019re gonna send in cruise missiles, you know, a couple of missiles, take 30 minutes, and then claim victory.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But that\u2019s not gonna get rid of supposedly the bad problem —<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, no, getting rid of the problem is not the point. The point is the picture of Obama in the Situation Room ordering the launch of the missiles. Then we got videotape, B-roll of missiles being launched. Not these, just any missiles being launched. Then we got video B-roll of explosions, and then we got the story about how Obama is a great military commander, and the problem\u2019s solved, and we showed them. We don\u2019t have to send anybody in there. <\/p>\n

In the media the whole thing is gonna be a story. It\u2019s gonna be a smoke and mirrors story. And we\u2019re gonna have Photoshopped stills of dead Al-Qaeda, this kind of stuff, if we do this. I don\u2019t even think we\u2019re gonna send in a SEAL team. I hope to heck we don\u2019t. And I really hope that somebody doesn\u2019t produce a video between now and whenever we do this and make them really mad in Syria. Can you imagine what Assad would do if some joker in America makes a video making fun of him? Uh. I don\u2019t even want to think about it. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Good afternoon, Mr. Limbaugh. I\u2019m about the same age you are. I\u2019m kind of curious as to why we are looking a little father back into history. You know, we\u2019re the same age, we come from the Vietnam era, and I\u2019m really seeing a lot of parallels between the administration now and what Lyndon Baines Johnson did. I mean, we have a Great Society with Obamacare, and the other thing I\u2019m seeing is all this stuff, we\u2019re gonna go into another country where we\u2019re really not welcome in and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Whoa, whoa, whoa. What do you mean, “go into a country.” How about another?<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, yes, another country.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Why do we just randomly go into another country and throw a bunch of bombs on them? We got all the outrage about the children that have been hurt and gassed and killed.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, because of “human rights violations,” which we do not tolerate.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly! And where is the outrage from the people in this country when we\u2019re gonna go into a country again, lob a bunch of napalm on them, and do just what we did in Vietnam? Do the same thing they\u2019re doing! What the heck? Where\u2019s the outrage?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Uhhh…<\/p>\n

CALLER: You and I are outraged.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019ve been asking that since about 1993.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, and history is gonna prove to us once again what\u2019s gonna happen tomorrow. We\u2019re gonna lose.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Mmmmmmmmmm\u2019nah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, the reason I\u2019m hesitating here is he may lose, but nobody\u2019s gonna know it because that\u2019s never going to be a story if Obama\u2019s involved.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly. We don\u2019t have a press.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It just isn\u2019t gonna be a story. That\u2019s even doubly worse, so we can end up really having the low-information crowd and Hollywood making a big movie and Obama the hero of Syria, you know, while we end up actually being humiliated in the process. Lose? I can\u2019t see that story. (laughs) Even if happened, I can\u2019t see the story.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, there might be a way out of this for Bashar Assad, and that is join the Communist Party. The Democrats will not go after a communist. John Kerry tried to stop all aid to the Contras and prop up the communist government in Nicaragua — and it wasn\u2019t John Kerry, all the Democrats. If Bashar Assad would somehow start quoting Marx and aligning himself with that way of thinking, it would give Obama and his bunch pause.
