CALLER: Hi. I just wanted to talk to you about the small business thing you were talking about earlier.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The small business thing we were talking about? Oh, that small business thing. Yeah. The small business thing. Yeah. Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was thinking that maybe we shouldn\u2019t invest in small business because eventually small businesses will grow into bigger businesses, and then, you know, they\u2019ll be huge businesses, and you said that big businesses aren\u2019t good, but I think that it doesn\u2019t really matter because business is business, and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute. Hold it just a sec. We should not invest in small business because if we do, small business will eventually become big business. Right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And big businesses aren\u2019t good.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, isn\u2019t that what you said?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Never.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, we should invest in both, I guess.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, you want to invest in small and large businesses?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m curious what you think you heard when you heard me say that I wasn\u2019t in favor of big business.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, people always talk about how big businesses aren\u2019t good for everyone because of the CEOs always getting their bonuses and everything and they\u2019re rich and, you know, they don\u2019t like them because they\u2019re always getting so much money.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No. You must have been listening to something else, Siri.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Because that\u2019s not something I believe. I wouldn\u2019t have ever said that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m sorry to let you down. You know what I thought? I thought you were gonna tell me that small business was bad because it became big business, and big business was bad, and therefore we shouldn\u2019t have any business.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) Well, we have to make money somehow.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes, we do. That is a positive note. We do have to make money somehow. The CEOs have to get paid and they have to have their bonuses, and that comes from profits and productive workers and so forth, employees and so forth. So you must have mistakenly thought that it was me but it wasn\u2019t me. I assure you I was not being critical. Had I said something like that it would have been facetious or making a satirical point.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Maybe it was Mark Levin. I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, Levin, he\u2019s a well known hater of big business, yeah. So that might have been who you heard, come to think of it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. My stepdad always listens to you and<\/line><\/p>\n

Mark Levin<\/a>, so I just get them confused sometimes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Yeah. I\u2019ve talked to Levin about it. But, you know, he\u2019s working on it. He\u2019s working on it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, I\u2019m sorry. I didn\u2019t meant to get you —<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, that\u2019s okay. I\u2019m glad you called here. It\u2019s good to have clarity and to have your mistaken impression set right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Have you tried to sign up yet at an Obamacare exchange?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You have not gone to HealthCare.gov?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Why not?<\/p>\n

CALLER: ‘Cause I don\u2019t like it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do you have health insurance?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You do?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The answer is, not for long.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) You\u2019re cute, Siri. You\u2019re cute. I just was in the process when I took your call, I was just printing out a story. John Boehner, the Speaker of the House, has predicted, based on what he\u2019s learned — and this is just from my memory. I\u2019ll have to print it out, read it during the break. But he thinks that more people are losing insurance when they go to HealthCare.gov than are getting it. That\u2019s how screwed up it is. More people are being priced out or finding out they don\u2019t qualify for subsidies so they can afford it, so more people end up without having insurance than have it after they go to the HealthCare.gov. Now, I\u2019ve gotta dig and read further on that, see if that\u2019s true. <\/p>\n

But, Siri, thanks for the call. You live in Freeport, Illinois, and I\u2019m glad you\u2019re there. Thanks for the call. I\u2019m glad you had the chance to have it straightened out and learn the truth here about the fact that it\u2019s not me who hates big business. I\u2019m one of the biggest proponents of business, period, but small business especially, \u2019cause that\u2019s where 75% — in a normal non-Obama economy — that\u2019s where 75% of job creation and jobs, anyway, are. <\/p>\n

The Boehner story, here\u2019s how it starts: “House Speaker John A. Boehner predicted Wednesday that, by the end of the month, more Americans will have lost their insurance by being kicked off existing health plans than the number who were able to sign up in the flawed online healthcare.gov website.”<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure this is because people are finding, they asked Sebelius — I\u2019ve still got three of the most amazing sound bites in that absolute train wreck that was her interview last night, and they asked her if she signed up for Obama. (imitating Sebelius) “Oh, no, oh, no, no, no, no, I haven\u2019t tried. I have insurance.” And the interviewer Sanjay Gupta said, “You have insurance?” She did check it out. You know, she runs the thing. And he asked her if she found it challenging. “Well, I think there certainly are some challenges. It could be smoother, it could be easier to access, and that\u2019s really what we\u2019re working on with the IT team at 150%.” And so forth. But she has insurance. Yeah, but for how long?
