RUSH: Now, here\u2019s my question. If Obama is gonna go out now and play dictator, let\u2019s realize he could play dictator in any direction he wants to go. If he has the power to deny you your grandfathered plan, the one you liked and the one you were told you could keep, and if Obama didn\u2019t know all of this was going on and he didn\u2019t know all of these problems with the website, and if Obama really cares about being truthful and honest with you, then maybe Obama can play dictator and re-grandfather your plan. If he can play dictator and take it away from you, then he can play dictator and fix it, I assume. <\/p>\n

If he\u2019s gonna play dictator, if he\u2019s gonna pretend the law is subject to his whims, then let\u2019s all realize that he\u2019d have the power to restore millions of health insurance policies by waiving that\u2019s new Obamacare regulations, which is forcing insurance companies to cancel policies. I mean, let\u2019s be real here. The president of the United States has this health care plan, and it\u2019s supposed to be the best thing under the sun. Your premium\u2019s gonna go down $2,500, and you\u2019re gonna keep your plan. Everybody\u2019s gonna be insured; everybody\u2019s gonna get treatment. It\u2019s gonna be cheaper. It\u2019s a panacea. It\u2019s utopia, but it\u2019s not turning out that way. <\/line><\/p>\n

Well, he loves you, he has compassion for you, cares about the little guy. Why doesn\u2019t he get mad at all these people being canceled and go in there and fix it? If he can play dictator and take things away, why can\u2019t he play dictator and give \u2019em back? Why doesn\u2019t he fix it? He knows people are being canceled in the hundreds of thousands. Why doesn\u2019t he fix it, if he really cares about you? He told us if Congress didn\u2019t give him everything he wanted he would simply do it himself. Obama has said, again, folks — and we\u2019ve played the sound bite — “Well, if Congress won\u2019t do it, I\u2019ll just go in, I\u2019ll take care of it myself.” So he\u2019s willing to play dictator. <\/p>\n

Now, he\u2019s destroying the health care industry, he\u2019s destroying the health insurance industry, but he didn\u2019t know that that was happening. Now that he\u2019s learned that was happening, why would he want to do that? He\u2019d go in and fix it now. And the coal industry, he didn\u2019t know what was happening in the coal industry because of his regulation, but now that he\u2019s learned how bad it is for the coal industry, he could go in there and play dictator the other way and fix that, couldn\u2019t he? <\/p>\n

I mean, if he can waive regulations negatively affecting health insurance policies, I mean, he can do that as easily as he waived other parts of Obamacare. Why can\u2019t he go in there and fix it, when it\u2019s so broken? If he can do one, he can do the other. Why does he choose not to fix it? Why does he choose not to make it better for you? Why does he choose to leave you uninsured? Why is he apparently not bothered by hundreds of thousands of people being canceled? Why is he not bothered by all these increases in premiums and deductibles? Why is he not bothered by it? “Well, he didn\u2019t know.” <\/p>\n

Well, he knows now. Why doesn\u2019t he do something about it? ‘Cause he loves you, he cares about the little guy. So now all day long, after blaming the insurance companies for all these canceled policies and contracts, when Obama created the regulations that triggered the cancellations. Surely he didn\u2019t mean for this to happen, right? Surely he didn\u2019t mean for hundreds of thousands of people to lose their insurance, and when he learned that that was happening, “Oh, my God,” he\u2019s so hurt and embarrassed and had to be mad at somebody, heads should be rolling and he should reinstate your canceled policy. But he doesn\u2019t, does he? I wonder why?<\/line>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Jack in Columbia, South Carolina, glad you waited. It\u2019s great to have you on the program. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, Rush, four-decade caller dittos. Eighties, nineties, odds and the teens. I\u2019m starting to get depressed about this. How does the equal protection clause not apply to me and the unions in this health care? And if the Republicans can\u2019t stand up to this kind of banana republic actions, what are we gonna do when Obama decides to run for a third term and totally ignore the 22nd Amendment?<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, I understand every aspect of the question. What he\u2019s a talking about, Obamacare, in section 1251, folks, has a carve-out for unions<\/a>. Now, the deal was, Obama told you, if you like your plan, you get to keep it. But then Obamacare also said the insurance companies can\u2019t change the plan. If they do, it\u2019s all gone. And then they issued rules that required the insurance companies change plans. So you lost your doctor. You lost your plan because of Obamacare, but in the same section of the law, there\u2019s an exemption for insurance companies changing their policies, and it\u2019s for those policies put together by collective bargaining. <\/p>\n

President Obama\u2019s union buddies get to keep their plan. They get to keep their doctor. You don\u2019t, because you have no way of holding onto your grandfather status. The question is, what about the equal protection clause? How come it applies to unions and not me? We have a runaway president who likes to play dictator. Republicans, I don\u2019t even know if they know this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
