RUSH:L A lot of things have me ticked off today. In fact, I\u2019ve been ticked off all week. You\u2019ve probably have picked up on that. I\u2019m ticked off at things out there. I\u2019m ticked off at FedEx, ticked off at incompetence in general. I\u2019m really ticked off about this idea that you and me and so forth are kook fringe people, as though the Democrat Party and Barack Obama represent the center. <\/p>\n

What is the center of American politics? <\/p>\n

Obamacare? <\/line><\/p>\n

The vast majority of the American people don\u2019t want it, and more people are joining that group every day when they learn what it means to them, and now they learn they\u2019ve been lied to. They and we are the center. Are the people who want massive government running everything the center in politics today? BS. Is the center in American politics in favor of policies that bounce off this idea, this hoax of manmade global warming?<\/p>\n

Is the center in American politics in favor of amnesty for 12 million illegals? Is the center of American politics made up of people who, when the government shut down, applaud opening it for a rally for illegals to go promote amnesty? Is that the center of American politics? It\u2019s not. The fringe is running this country. The genuine left-wing fringe is running this country. We have a government that is governing against the will of the people. <\/p>\n

We\u2019re not the fringe kooks. They are. <\/p>\n

Obama is a fringe kook.<\/p>\n

Sebelius is a fringe kook.<\/p>\n

Valerie Jarrett is a fringe kook.<\/p>\n

The media who idolize these people are the fringe kooks. <\/p>\n

Harry Reid is a fringe kook.<\/p>\n

Only 20% of the population of this country self-identifies as liberal. <\/p>\n

By definition, that\u2019s fringe, and I\u2019ll add in the characterization of “kook.” <\/line><\/p>\n

We are traditionalists. We\u2019re constitutionalists. We believe in the founding. We are centrists. We are not fringe kooks in any way, shape, manner, or form — and the center of American politics is not pro-amnesty. The center of American politics does not believe that man is responsible, that America is responsible for global warming and we all need tax increases to pay the price for our “excessive lifestyle,” which has not contributed to global warming. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s not the center of American politics. The American people are not running around demanding tax increases. That is not the American center. Ted Cruz is not a fringe kook. Mike Lee is not a fringe kook. The fringe kooks are on the left. The fringe kooks are these people that showed up yesterday in Boston to heckle Obama. Do you know who those people were? Do you pay any attention to this? <\/p>\n

The people protesting Obama yesterday were the people that do not want him to okay the Keystone pipeline. Let me ask you a question: When has Obama ever said he wants to? So why in the world are a bunch of people showing up protesting the Keystone pipeline? He\u2019s nowhere near authorizing or okaying the Keystone pipeline. So why are they up there doing this? Is gay marriage the center of American politics? I don\u2019t think it is. <\/p>\n

Gay marriage is not the center of American politics. Not yet. It may end up being someday, but it isn\u2019t yet. These people that were protesting Obama are protesting things that he already believes. He doesn\u2019t believe in opening the Keystone pipeline, so what were they doing there? Everything that these people were heckling him about were things he\u2019s not gonna do. He had people heckling him about things he agrees with them on. <\/p>\n

So what were they doing? <\/line><\/p>\n

What was the point of that? <\/p>\n

I think it was to make Obama look like a centrist. I think it was to make sure Obama didn\u2019t look like the kooks that they are. Who believes that Obama\u2019s gonna okay the Keystone pipeline? Nobody does. When has he ever said that he wants to? He hasn\u2019t. So what\u2019s the danger? Why do the people opposed to this feel the need to go protest him over it?
