RUSH: Thank you very much, sir. Appreciate that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019ve been trying to call you on Open Line Friday since February.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Whoa.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have three grandchildren, but I have a 10-year-old grandson, and I was with them one day and I was reading. I love to read history, and I was reading some more about Abraham Lincoln, and he asked me what I was reading, and I told him, and my jaw dropped to the ground when he told me he didn\u2019t know who Abraham Lincoln was.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, what, he\u2019s 10.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I mean, I just couldn\u2019t believe it. I\u2019ve actually been calling you since February to get suggestions. He wants to learn —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Did he know who Bill Clinton was?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I sat with him for an hour that day, and he asked me so many questions, and he was absorbing, and he loved it, and I\u2019ve been calling you ever since, to have you on Open Line Friday maybe give me some suggestions for what he could read, and God bless you, you read my mind and here\u2019s Rush Revere.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that would have been my first suggestion to you.<\/line><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/line>\n

CALLER: Well, back in February it wasn\u2019t ready yet, so —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah. You just didn\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, you\u2019re right. In February I would not have suggested it \u2019cause you couldn\u2019t get it then, but I would have teased it, had you gotten through.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Ahhh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Has your grandson heard of Bill Clinton?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but he doesn\u2019t know who Lincoln is?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, your timing here is fortuitous, and it\u2019s fortunate, too, and it\u2019s a very classy way around you paying me a compliment, and I really appreciate it very, very much. And I hope your grandson reads the book \u2019cause I know he\u2019ll love it. I know he would be fascinated by it. In fact, Kevin, I want you to hang on. I want to send you an audio version of the book that I recorded that you can let him listen to as well, and anybody else. It\u2019s something I\u2019m very proud of.<\/p>\n

RUSH: According to numbers posted by Matt Drudge, Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims was the number one selling book last week, according to the Nielsen BookScan. It\u2019s just wonderful, folks. Thank you so much, again.<\/p>\n

RUSH: See, I got a question here, ladies and gentlemen. Bouncing off of the Obamacare website and the way they\u2019re counting enrollees. Shouldn\u2019t Amazon<\/a> and the New York Times best-sellers list count, as a book sale, if somebody puts a copy of Rush Revere in the shopping cart? I mean, that\u2019s how they\u2019re counting enrollees at HealthCare.gov, whether they buy a policy or not they\u2019re counting them as enrolled. So if you go to Amazon<\/a> or anywhere else and you put Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims in the shopping cart it ought to count as a sale, right?<\/line>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Folks, I have a Stack here I printed out of fan mail<\/a>. I would love to read all of it to you. It is from parents and children who\u2019ve written in about the book, Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims. People are sending pictures of their kids standing in front of the bookshelf happily reading the book after happily buying the book. The cutest pictures that you\u2019ve seen. But I do want to share one with you here, quickly. <\/p>\n

<\/a>“Dear Mr. Limbaugh: I pre-ordered your book. I\u2019ve been anxiously awaiting its arrival. I couldn\u2019t wait to read it to my six- and eight-year-old boys. Then I heard you mention how one family who had kids of similar ages really liked the audio version and that it was four and a half hours long and that you did it. I was so excited to hear this. See, I drive my boys 25 miles to school one way every day so that they can attend a private school.” <\/p>\n

Twenty-five miles a day. I wonder how many of you do that. I bet it would surprise us. <\/p>\n

“We spend a lot of time in the car. My two boys usually eat two meals a day in the car, so we enjoy listening to audio books. Well, I downloaded Rush Revere yesterday morning and I started to play it as we left the driveway. My boys listened intently the whole way there and as we got out of the car, they said, ‘Rush, Rush, Rush,\u2019 into school. It doesn\u2019t stop there. I was a driver that day for my eight-year-old\u2019s class for a field trip to a planetarium. As soon as we got in my car with two other boys from my son\u2019s class, my son said, ‘We have to listen to Rush Revere.\u2019 I turned it on, and I didn\u2019t hear a peep out of those three boys for 45 minutes until we got to our location. Now, think about that. A car with three eight-year-old boys and not a sound, Rush. It was glorious. As they got out of my car, they were all saying ‘Rush, Rush, Rush into history.\u2019 <\/p>\n

“We walked inside, we took our seat in the planetarium, we were waiting for the program to start. My eight-year-old said, ‘Do you have your phone? Please play Rush Revere.\u2019 I told him that he wouldn\u2019t be able to hear it on the phone and that we wouldn\u2019t have much time, but he still begged me to play it anyway. After the planetarium program was over and we were walking back to my car, my son started singing, ‘Rush Revere, uh, uh, I like it,\u2019 to the tune of ‘That\u2019s the Way (I Like It)\u2019 by KC and the Sunshine Band. <\/p>\n

“We headed back to school, again another peaceful car ride as the boys intently listened the whole way. When I picked up my boys from school — they get out every day at 12:10 or so — I always listen to you on the way home. They immediately said, ‘Can we listen to Rush Revere?\u2019 And I said, ‘No, I want to listen to Rush.\u2019 They said, ‘I don\u2019t want to listen to the regular Rush. I want to listen to Rush Revere.\u2019 Later that day we stopped at the grocery store. I happened to be walking down the book aisle. My son spotted your book, was so excited to see it, so that may be a place that your audience should check if they\u2019re unable to find your book in a regular bookstore. It was in the grocery store. So, anyway, PS, if you have a moment take a look at the Veterans Day program my boy\u2019s school puts out every year.” <\/p>\n

This is just a sample, folks, of the mail that we are getting from people who are really getting into this. It is so gratifying, and I can\u2019t thank you enough. This is a whole new pathway for me, and it\u2019s a whole new entree to an audience demo that there would be otherwise no way we would have on this program. So you parents are fabulous. I will admit, you know, I\u2019m not jealous if the kids would rather listen to Rush Revere than me. I mean, that\u2019s just the way it is. They like Rush Revere. Rush Revere\u2019s a likable guy. I made sure of it. (interruption) What, Snerdley, what? Well, I\u2019ve not been told if we\u2019ve been sent any videos or not, but you\u2019re right, that will be the next thing to come. <\/p>\n

Anyway, a whole Stack of this stuff. I mean, it\u2019s just literally pouring in, and folks, by the way, if you haven\u2019t done this, you ought to show, if you have a kid or two who likes the book, make sure that you take them to the TwoIfByTea.com<\/a> website. And by the way, we\u2019re gonna post some of these pictures at the RushLimbaugh.com website. Both covered. But take the kids to the TwoIfByTea.com site because that\u2019s where the Rush Revere pane is or the portal, and you can see where Rush Revere and Liberty live. The Two If By Tea factory is there, the mailbox to send e-mail, and we finally have installed the EIB broadcast tower and complex. It\u2019s not a map. It\u2019s an actual drawing of where they live. <\/p>\n

I\u2019m not gonna tell you, but there\u2019s a little surprise if you click on the EIB broadcast tower that the kids will like. They\u2019ll get a big charge out of it. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
