CALLER: (laughing) Yeah, I\u2019ve been a listener for a long time, been listening since you hooked me with the Clinton video where he was at the funeral, walked along laughing, saw the camera, started crying. I laughed so hard I couldn\u2019t believe it. But, yeah, I just bought my grandsons — I\u2019ve gotten a 12-year-old and a 7-year-old the Rush book, Rush Revere, and they want to know if they can get Rush and Liberty action figures. They want to have their own adventures.<\/line><\/a><\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, Rush and Liberty action figures.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Like Batman, Superman —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. <\/p>\n

CALLER: He\u2019s just another hero, only he\u2019s an American, all-American hero.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. You know, you\u2019re putting me on the spot here. There\u2019s an answer to your question. I mean, there is a full-fledged answer to your question. It\u2019s just not the time, but there is an answer to your question. This is as close as I can get. We\u2019re just beginning here. We\u2019re just beginning, but I\u2019m flattered.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) You know, you\u2019re rendering me speechless, and nobody can do that, outside of Kathryn. So you want action figures and a cartoon?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Anything to help the kids learn how to grow up in America and be an American.<\/line><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/line>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Well, you know what? I can\u2019t thank you enough. Now, Brian, I want you to stay on hold \u2019cause I want to send you and your kids the audio copy of the book read by me as a gift. RUSH: Somebody just asked me if I\u2019ve been nominated for a Grammy for my reading of Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims. Obama got two Grammys, one for each of his autobiographies. I told the guy, I wouldn\u2019t wait for that. I wouldn\u2019t think me being nominated for a Grammy is in the cards.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m being asked if I happened to see the review in the Des Moines Register of Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims, and I did. John Carlson is the name of the man who reviewed it, and it\u2019s a really great review of the book. We\u2019ll link to it at RushLimbaugh.com. (interruption) No, I didn\u2019t print it out because this was gonna be a day where I wasn\u2019t gonna talk about the book, but you had to go ahead and give me a call.<\/p>\n

You know, I\u2019m trying not to wear people out on this, so I didn\u2019t print it out. I wasn\u2019t gonna read it. We\u2019ll link to it at RushLimbaugh.com. People can go to the website and see it, or the Des Moines Register website. It\u2019s by John Carlson. It really is a nice review of the book. This guy gets it. It\u2019s clever, and it\u2019s not slobbering or any of that. It\u2019s just a real solid review of the book.<\/p>\n

Look, since this has come up, let me tell you something that we\u2019re doing at the TwoIfByTea.com website, because we\u2019re getting lots of e-mail from people who are loving it — and, folks, again, I\u2019m really touched by all of this. We\u2019re getting e-mails from people who are encouraging us to reach out to schools, \u2019cause people understand what this is. Mr. Carlson at the Des Moines Register gets it.<\/p>\n

This is an attempt to correct the historical record as it\u2019s been distorted in the public school system. The truth about the Pilgrims and the people that came to this country at first has been lied about to way too many kids in this country, and the book, of course, is to correct that record. People are so into the mission hereof that they\u2019re actually encouraging us to reach out to schools.<\/p>\n

<\/a>What they\u2019re asking us to do is to get the book, Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims, to be a part of the curriculum, or at least in the school library. They\u2019re asking us to do this. It\u2019s a sizable number of people. Here\u2019s what we\u2019ve decided to do. We set up a free challenge. Rush Revere and Liberty are seeking the most deserving school or schools in the country to receive a large donation, not just the book, Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims. We\u2019re gonna donate some American classics written by authors like Mark Twain. In addition, the school or schools that we choose will receive computers, supplies and any tangible items that would improve their classrooms.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a contest of sorts, 500 words or less.<\/p>\n

Let Rush Revere and Liberty know why your school or your kid\u2019s school or an impoverished school that you know of is most deserving. It\u2019s just that simple. Now, you have to get your entries in by November 30th. That\u2019s 11 days from now. It\u2019s a perfect thing to work on during Thanksgiving — and speaking of Thanksgiving, there\u2019s a very cute free art contest.<\/p>\n

Your kids can download a picture of Liberty the horse to color and come up with the best caption. You can download Rush Revere and the kids can color it in, and all of this is at TwoIfByTea.com. But we really are responding to people who are begging us to get the book into schools somehow. So it\u2019s all explained there at the Adventures of Rush Revere pane at TwoIfByTea.com, and we are responding to what is just a terrific idea from people and public demand.<\/p>\n
