RUSH: I want to go to the audio sound bites. This is this morning on CNN. This is Legal View with Ashleigh Banfield. They\u2019re talking about the cold. And they go to some reporter, Stephanie Elam, who is reporting from outside in Minneapolis. Ashleigh Banfield is they infobabe, the anchorette. She says, “What are the circumstances there, Stephanie?”<\/p>\n

ELAM: I keep trying to find a better word to describe this than “cold,” because it doesn\u2019t do it justice. They\u2019ve even closed down the zoo because they don\u2019t want people thinking that that\u2019s an okay place to go. Crime is way down. The things that they are seeing are more domestic issues, but the street, there\u2019s no one doing anything. It is so brutally cold here and bitter, and it\u2019s not just the air. It\u2019s the air, the wind comes through. I\u2019ve never felt anything like this before, Ashleigh, in my life.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, now, that was supposed to stand. “I\u2019ve never felt anything like this before in my life, Ashleigh,” and Ashleigh Banfield, the infobabe, blew it, with this reaction.<\/p>\n

BANFIELD: I have. I grew up in it — and let me tell you, Stephanie, I know exactly what you\u2019re going through. I had to report outside in 40 below, and my mouth froze, and I could only talk through just a… It\u2019s just an unusual feeling, and unless you have been through it, you gotta walk a mile in those shoes, and it is very painful. So hats off to you. Don\u2019t hats off you, but everyone else hats off to you.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. She realized halfway through it that she wasn\u2019t supposed to say, “Oh, yeah, I\u2019ve been through that.” It\u2019s not supposed to have ever been this cold before. A reporter set her up perfectly. The reporter\u2019s out in Minneapolis, “I\u2019ve never felt anything like this! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! It\u2019s so cold, even crime is down. They closed the zoo, Ashleigh! I don\u2019t know what I\u2019m gonna do. It\u2019s never been this cold!”<\/p>\n

But Ashleigh Banfield says, “Ah, that\u2019s nothing, I\u2019ve been through it all my life.”<\/p>\n

Oops.<\/p>\n
