RUSH: Obama has an 18-page, if you read it on the Internet, interview\/story with New Yorker Magazine. He said that Al-Qaeda is a JV unit. So the Al-Qaeda unit that did all the damage in Benghazi was the JV unit. Obama also said that he would not let his son, Trayvon Martin, play football — while watching football, apparently. In an interview that runs the weekend of the NFL championship games, Obama said he would not let his son play the game. He doesn\u2019t have one, of course. But if he did, his son would have looked like Trayvon Martin<\/a>, and Obama would not let him play football, pro football. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: This New Yorker interview that Obama did, this thing is loaded. <\/p>\n

<\/a>Oh, yeah. By the way, folks, Hoboken received some money in Hurricane Sandy aid, so there is that aspect to this. <\/p>\n

Now, in this New Yorker interview, President Obama, President Barack “Choom Gang<\/a>” Obama, declared that marijuana is no worse for the brain than alcohol. Now, he didn\u2019t issue a ruling on whether playing football was worse than both of them for the brain, but he probably thinks it is. He actually said that he would not let his son play football. Now, that is irresponsible, but he said it, obviously trying to curry favor with somebody. <\/p>\n

Now he says that pot is no worse for the brain than alcohol, and I guess…<\/p>\n

Well, we know that he was in the Choom Gang, so he probably is speaking from actual experience. He also said in this interview that the reason people don\u2019t like him, the reason his approval numbers are plummeting is because of racism. “Obama said that racial tensions may have softened his popularity among white voters within the last two years, according to a story posted on the New Yorker magazine\u2019s website today.<\/p>\n

“‘There\u2019s no doubt that there\u2019s some folks who just really dislike me because they don\u2019t like the idea of a black president,\u2019 Obama said in the article…” So, what, white Americans have just figured out Obama\u2019s black in the last two years? This is classic. This is really classic. It can\u2019t possibly be that people don\u2019t like Obamacare<\/a>. It can\u2019t possibly have anything to do with the fact that Obama lied to them numerous times for three years that if they like their doctor or like their plan, they can keep it. <\/p>\n

It has nothing to do with the fact that nobody can find a job, nothing to do with the fact the stimulus didn\u2019t work, nothing to do with the fact that he\u2019s engaged in crony capitalism, nothing to do with the fact that his green energy things have bombed out, nothing to do with the fact that he is usurping the Constitution<\/a> at each and every he have turn, nothing to do with the fact that he\u2019s never accepted accountability for anything and has always blamed it on Bush.<\/p>\n

It has nothing to do with the fact that nothing is ever his fault, nothing to do with the fact that even after five years he still governs as an outsider. Nope! “There\u2019s no doubt that there\u00c2\u2019s some folks who just really dislike me because they don\u2019t like the idea of a black president.” This is the same kind of ego I was just talking about. This guy thinks he\u2019s the creme de la creme. He\u2019s the best that there\u2019s ever been! It cannot be him.<\/p>\n

In his world, by the way, his ideas haven\u2019t even failed.<\/p>\n

Listen to this. I\u2019m gonna read to you a brief excerpt from this piece by David Remnick in the New Yorker. “As Obama ticked off a list of first-term achievements — the economic rescue, the forty-four straight months of job growth, a reduction in carbon emissions, a spike in clean-energy technology — he seemed efficient but contained, running at three-quarters speed, like an athlete playing a midseason road game of modest consequence.”<\/line><\/p>\n

Now, folks, this is derangement. <\/p>\n

This is derangement and delusion — and the reporter, Remnick in this case, just eats it all up.<\/p>\n

He just buys it, and I\u2019m sure that a majority of the left do as well. <\/p>\n

“As Obama ticked off a list of first-term achievements — the economic rescue.” There hasn\u2019t been an economic rescue, folks. You know it and I know it. The economy is in a funk. It\u2019s showing no signs of recovery and it hasn\u2019t for five years. There hasn\u2019t been an economic rescue. An economic rescue is exactly what\u2019s needed by way of a new president. But yet he ticks this off, he rescued the economy. I guess that must be the stimulus. And here\u2019s David Remnick, yep, okay, so there has to be some reason, then, because Obama\u2019s done great with the economy. Approval numbers still plummeting. Forty-four straight months of job growth. He said it. He ticked it off. The reporter quoted him. The reporter agrees, 44 straight months of job growth. <\/p>\n

Folks, there are 92 million Americans not working. The number of Americans in the labor force continues to shrink. The labor force participation rate is plummeting. There haven\u2019t been 44 months of job growth. There haven\u2019t been three months of job growth, because there isn\u2019t any job growth. But yet, Obama\u2019s sitting in the White House, and he\u2019s telling himself all this wonderful stuff is happening. Rescued the economy, 44 straight months of job growth, a reduction in carbon emissions. There isn\u2019t a reduction. Well, if there is a reduction in carbon emissions, it is for one reason, and that is the depressed economy. Natural gas helps a little bit, too, but Obama\u2019s energy ideas have been an abject failure. <\/p>\n

Every foray into green energy, be it wind or solar, is a joke. Speaking of which, I don\u2019t want to make anybody mad here, but you know Brad Pitt and his wife Angelina Jolie, they\u2019re big environmentalist wackos, and they\u2019ve been rebuilding houses in New Orleans under green guidelines. It turns out that the wood that they have been using that has been sanctioned and authorized as good wood in terms of the environment, is rotting. Yes, it\u2019s true, Mabel. It\u2019s a sad, sad thing. I\u2019ve got the details coming up.<\/a> <\/p>\n

A spike in clean energy technology? There hasn\u2019t been any of that, folks, other than natural gas which is the result of fracking, which is creating more oil, despite Obama\u2019s efforts to stop it. Now, it literally is delusional. But if he\u2019s sitting there lost in his own fantasy of what a great job he\u2019s been doing, great economy, great job growth, economic rescue, giant, great strides on improving the economy, and his approval numbers are falling, it has to be that Americans just don\u2019t like a black president. <\/p>\n

Obamacare, we haven\u2019t even talked about that. He probably thinks he\u2019s improved the health care in this country left and right. By the way, another executive order on Obamacare outside the Constitution has been delayed for another year because to implement it would be very harmful for the Democrats going into the election. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, this business with Obama, I maintain this is serious. I maintain this is psychologically serious. You have to remember he utters this stuff to the New Yorker, it gets picked up by every left-wing publication, and the low-information crowd\u2019s gonna eat this stuff up. So Obama\u2019s basically saying he\u2019s done great things, he\u2019s rebuilt the economy, 44 straight months of job growth, we got all kinds of great new green energy things. He\u2019s basically just lying through his teeth about the greatness of this country and how great he\u2019s been. And none of it\u2019s true. None of it is true. And then he\u2019s asked to explain his plummeting approval numbers in light of all those great things. It\u2019s gotta be racism. This, folks, I\u2019m telling you is, I think, potentially dangerous. <\/p>\n

I know everybody in politics lies at one time or another, but this… We have strayed so far from the truth in so much of our public life and political life that people are losing faith in all of it, which is somewhat understandable. And when that happens, when people lose faith in it, they just tune it out. And when that happens, it just paves the way for the totalitarians. It just paves the way for the statists who just want to assume control. The greatest thing they can do is create such frustration and so forth in the public, that they just tune out all this stuff because they don\u2019t believe any of it. <\/line><\/p>\n

This is not a racist country. That doesn\u2019t explain Obama\u2019s approval numbers. No. You know, Mr. President, there are 92 million able-bodied Americans out of the workforce<\/a>, and not all of them want to be, sir. And there probably a lot of Americans who dislike being lied to by you for three years. Remember the lies about lower insurance premiums by $2,500 and keeping your insurance plan and your doctor? Now, those are abject presidential lies. And, Mr. President, I\u2019m sure there are a lot of people that dislike the idea of you and your secretary of state leaving the American consulate in Benghazi unprotected and undefended. Four Americans dead, and you lie about a video causing the attack? <\/p>\n

A lot of Americans just don\u2019t believe you anymore. They\u2019ve just totally lost faith in you. You sick the IRS on decent Americans, and people find out about this. But, no, no, no, that, because Obama\u2019s living in his fantasy land where he\u2019s the greatest president ever, and it\u2019s just those bitter clingers. Bitter clinger pro-life racist pigs. That\u2019s the only reason why his approval numbers are plummeting.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello, Rush. Longtime listener, first-time caller.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it\u2019s great to have you here, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m in a fix. I want to make one comment first, then I\u2019ll tell you what I told Snerdley. I\u2019m in a real fix. I\u2019m living in a household with not only a liberal, but a liberal who doesn\u2019t care to pay attention to what\u2019s really going on in the world. Now, to my comment that I called in about, as far as Obama saying that everybody\u2019s turning on him because they\u2019re racists, I guess I\u2019m the ultimate racist, because I\u2019ve been against him since I heard his comments made to Joe the Plumber. When he was first running for office and he said that, when Joe pinned him down, he admitted that he was for income redistribution.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but he didn\u2019t put it that way. What he said was, “We want to spread the wealth around.”<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, but Joe kind of cleared it up a little bit, too. He used the term “income redistribution” and Obama kind of concurred with it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: True. But you actually are not a racist. You are simply saying this to illustrate a point.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, that\u2019s exactly it, sir. That\u2019s exactly it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This is too touchy a subject, and I don\u2019t want people to report, “Oh, yeah, a known racist admits calling.” Rich is being facetious. Richard is saying I\u2019ve opposed Obama ever since I saw the Joe the Plumber episode, when Obama admitted he wants to take from people and give to others. He wants to redistribute, spread the wealth, raise taxes, the guy\u2019s a socialist. And what his point is here, race? We oppose Obama because of who he is and his policies. We oppose Obama because of what he\u2019s done. Richard here is just being facetious. But I got to be real careful given the eyes and ears tuned to this program. (interruption) What? No, there\u2019s too many literalists out there just waiting for an opportunity to take anything said here — (interruption) No. When you have a guy call, “Hey, I\u2019m a racist,” that\u2019s all they gotta say. <\/p>\n

“A guy from Rockford, Illinois, called Limbaugh, ‘Yep, I\u2019m a racist and I have been since Obama first –‘” and they cut it off there, and that\u2019s what gets spread around. And then the media uses that to substantiate what Obama told David Remnick. And that\u2019s not what Richard is saying. He\u2019s being facetious because Richard and everybody knows that is a cowardly charge. I think it\u2019s gutless for the president to hide behind that, to throw that up. If you look at other things that he\u2019s said to David Remnick, I may as well repeat those. Let me find it. I hope I put \u2019em the bottom of the Stack in the same order I used them, \u2019cause it really is outrageous what this guy said. He praised all the job creating.<\/p>\n

This is Remnick writing. This is an 18-page interview as it scrolls on the Internet. “As Obama ticked off a list of first-term achievements — the economic rescue, the forty-four straight months of job growth, a reduction in carbon emissions, a spike in clean-energy technology — he seemed efficient but contained, running at three-quarters speed, like an athlete playing a midseason road game of modest consequence.”<\/line><\/p>\n

Now, folks, that\u2019s delusional. That\u2019s psycho-something. He\u2019s sitting there, he\u2019s ticking off these wonderful achievements of the past five years. The economic rescue? What economic rescue? We\u2019re in the middle of an economic disaster. Forty-four straight months of job growth? Where? In whose world? Ninety-two million Americans are not working. You have to go back to Jimmy Carter\u2019s first term to find economic consequences as dire. Ninety-two million Americans not even in the workforce, a majority of those not even trying to find a job.<\/p>\n

So he\u2019s sitting there in this interview, and he\u2019s rattling this stuff off, they\u2019re his achievements. And the writer, “Oh, yeah, yep, you\u2019re the greatest president ever,” writes this stuff down. Now, as he sat there, did he actually believe this stuff? That\u2019s why this is, you know, delusional, illusory, psycho-something. So he concludes: I\u2019ve done all this great stuff, stimulus and job growth, economic rescue, and my approval numbers… it has to be because the bitter clingers are a bunch of racist pigs. <\/p>\n

Now, I maintain to you that that is cowardly. That is beneath the office. He was elected for crying out loud, twice. How does he explain that? He was considered a messiah. He wouldn\u2019t have won the presidency were it not for white voters. Forget why they voted for him. Some because they wanted to get rid of the idea that the country was racist and they thought this would do it. Some because they believed that he was a new kind of politician we\u2019d never seen before. Some because they believed he was this great unifier and was gonna get rid of all the strife and the arguing and the bipartisanship and the countries around the world were gonna love us and the terrorists would stop terrorizing us. Some believed that, but those that voted for him on those beliefs were not at all concerned about his race. <\/p>\n

I mean, this is character deficient to sit there and whine about this. Maybe if you lose the first time. Maybe if you\u2019re the first black presidential candidate and you lose, maybe you go out, “Yeah, well, the country is probably not ready for a black president.” But you can\u2019t say, with Oprah Winfrey, all of the black movie stars, wealth and so forth in this country that they\u2019re amassing, middle class black success and the first black president, “Well, my approval numbers are in the tank because the country\u2019s racist.” That\u2019s cheap.
