RUSH: Here\u2019s Sophie in Roanoke. Oh, we have a 10-year-old, another child on the phone here. This is Sophie in Roanoke, Virginia. Hi, Sophie. I\u2019m glad you called.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. I just wanted to talk to you about your book. I read it, and it was really good.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I appreciate that. You know, this is the biggest thrill for me, to hear from people that the book was written for, to hear how much you like it. I can\u2019t tell you how happy you are making me.<\/line><\/a>CALLER: Well, everybody has been asking when you\u2019re gonna write another one, and someone told me that you are, and I thought I know what it would be about.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. So you are asked if I\u2019m gonna write another one, and somebody told you that I am gonna write another one, so you want to guess what it\u2019s about; is that right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. I think I know what it\u2019s about.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Because in the end of the book you said that you were going to Liberty\u2019s hometown in time.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Liberty is supposed to be Paul Revere\u2019s horse, so I thought that you were going to when he rode on Liberty through the villages and stuff to warn all the people.<\/line><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/line>\n

RUSH: So you think that in the next book Paul Revere is going to ride Liberty to warn all the people?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s just amazing. That\u2019s actually not a bad idea. Paul Revere on his smart-aleck talking horse, refusing the ride \u2019cause he\u2019d rather have apples. (laughing) Sophie, that is an interesting idea. I can\u2019t commit. You know, I\u2019m bound by a nondisclosure agreement and secrecy. I\u2019ve told Liberty and Rush Revere that I will not divulge anything they have planned in the future until they announce it. It won\u2019t be long before they tell me what they\u2019re going to do next, and when this happens I\u2019ll pass it on to you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: All right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And I\u2019ll tell \u2019em that idea, too, \u2019cause, you know, that\u2019s a great idea. They can go back anywhere in American history they want, and if they want to, Liberty can go to Paul Revere and say, “Hey, ride me!” Not a bad idea. That is very smart. See, that is an engaged reader, at 10 years old, already plotting future books. It\u2019s this kind of stuff, folks, that gives all of us faith and confidence in the future of the country. Sophie, hang on.
