RUSH: Grand Prairie, Texas. Jeffrey, it\u2019s great to have you. You\u2019re up first today, sir. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Sir, this is a tremendous — and I do mean a tremendous — honor. I\u2019m a longtime African-American listener and first-time caller.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Great to have you here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir. It\u2019s great to be here. I want to make two quick comments real quick. You know, every little child that watches Dora the Explorer knows that in order to find something, you simply use the map. The pathway to citizenship for adults is Google Maps. Simply use Google Maps, find the nearest immigration service office, and get there. That, to me, is the pathway to immigration. The other thing I want to comment on is this. The politicians continue to clamor about —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute. Wait a minute. That\u2019s a little funny. We just can\u2019t let that go by. You say the pathway to citizenship is a map to the nearest immigration office?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Absolutely.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Pathway to citizenship, yeah. Well, that\u2019s hilarious, actually, and very and clever to boot.<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s child\u2019s play. I mean, every child knows it\u2019s the map. Every child who watches Dora knows that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right. Pathway citizenship is not taking a test. It\u2019s the immigration office.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s the immigration office.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Followed by the county courthouse and welfare office in there.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Established rules, procedures, regulations, it\u2019s all there.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s all there. There\u2019s nothing that needs to be done, it\u2019s all there. The other point I wanted to make is —<\/p>\n

RUSH: And after that you find your way over to the unemployment office. I think you\u2019ve got it down pat here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (chuckling) Well, but you — and also backpack. Backpack, backpack. Well, in order to go where you\u2019re trying to go, you need what you need.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: They have everything they need. They need credit cards and debit cards. They have bank accounts. They have cars, insurance. I mean, this immigration thing is complete madness.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, wait a minute. Where are they getting all of that? I thought these people were arriving dirt poor. Now, seriously, Jeffrey.<\/p>\n

CALLER: In the shadows, yeah. I mean, it\u2019s completely insane, and the Republicans —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, you\u2019re talking about the ones “in the shadows” already here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I thought you were talking about the ones actually walking across the border or crammed into a van.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, no, no. The ones in the shadows standing in the bank teller lot.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Those guys in the shadows.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019ve already been to the unemployment office, right? Shadows.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly. The whole thing I want to comment on — and again ,this is a tremendous honor — the politicians continue to clamor for immigration reform, reform, reform, but what I\u2019m hearing from them is different than what I\u2019m seeing with my eyes, and that is, I don\u2019t see lines of people at the various immigration offices wrapped around the building three times clamoring like Black Friday to get in. I don\u2019t see that. I hear what the politicians are saying, but I don\u2019t see this massive surge of people who are just anxious, determined, dead set on becoming US citizens. I don\u2019t see that. <\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute. Let me translate this for people listening to you. Your theory is, you hear politicians of both parties talk about the plight of these people in the shadows, and all they want is become citizens. They\u2019ve come here, they love America, they\u2019ve come here to escape misery and their home countries, and they just want to be citizens. And what you\u2019re saying is, you don\u2019t see the evidence of the desire to be citizens. You see \u2019em in the shadows, but you don\u2019t see \u2019em doing that we say necessary to become citizens. Is that what you\u2019re saying?<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s exactly what I\u2019m saying. I don\u2019t begrudge anyone for wanting to leave Mexico, given the conditions that exist there. It is a war zone.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, depends on where you are. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Well —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I mean, you can go to Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly. I don\u2019t begrudge anyone for that. But there are established rules, procedures, a volume of law when it comes to immigration second to none. I mean, it\u2019s all there. I mean, entire law firms are devoted to the practice of immigration law. There\u2019s no… I mean, with all due respect, I say this to the Republican Party leadership: If they think the kowtowing to the Democrats is way to somehow curry favor within the Hispanic and Latino community, they\u2019re dead wrong with that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I know. I know. Let me tell you, Jeffrey, I\u2019ve got people — not kooks, they don\u2019t wear tinfoil hats — who really think that there is a concerted movement to just destroy the country, tear it apart as it was founded, and that there are various establishment types in on it and they know that that\u2019s what this is part of. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
