RUSH: Here\u2019s Christine in New Jersey. Hi, Christine. Great to have you on the program. I\u2019m glad you waited. I really appreciate your patience. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, thanks, Rush. This is such an honor and a privilege to talk to Rush Limbaugh. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I can\u2019t even tell you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I appreciate that. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I have to say it is a little frustrating today to think that there is just absolutely nothing we can do at this point with this nightmare that we\u2019re living in with Obamacare.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me say something. I\u2019m sitting here, Christine and the rest of you, and I\u2019m actually fighting pangs of guilt over this, because this is not my normal mind-set. It is not one of surrender, and I\u2019m not surrendering now. I mean, it\u2019s frustrating. It\u2019s unprecedented, it\u2019s uncharted territory, and I just want to tell you — I mean from the bottom of my heart — I think this is all gonna end up… (sigh) I don\u2019t want a panacea. <\/p>\n

We\u2019re gonna fix this somehow, and I\u2019m not living in a false premise of insincere positiveness or any of that. I\u2019m not. I\u2019m not lying to myself. I just have a genuine belief. In my heart, I love this country. This country is gonna survive. The people of this country are gonna overcome this. I don\u2019t know how and I don\u2019t know when. I\u2019m not gonna make any predictions, but we\u2019re not finished. This is not it. I just want everybody to know that.<\/p>\n

Despite whatever you might have sustained about my attitude today, do not think that there\u2019s any surrender, give-up or any of that. There are all kinds of things that can still happen, that we can do. The Article V convention that Levin talks about in his book<\/a>, with the states. The states may end up being the salvation to this anyway, regardless whether there\u2019s an Article V constitutional<\/a> convention or not. There\u2019s any number of things. But there\u2019s always the American people. <\/p>\n

<\/a>I still have a significant faith in the American people, that at some point they have to make it right somehow. I\u2019m not, again, trying to be phony with this. I\u2019m just telling you what I think. Every day, I think this. I keep thinking we\u2019re gonna survive this, and these people are gonna get theirs at some point, and I don\u2019t know how, and I don\u2019t know when. So I just want to make that clear, \u2019cause it doesn\u2019t do me any good or you any good to have a defeatist attitude about this. That\u2019s not gonna accomplish anything, and if I\u2019ve created that today, please, I apologize. Do not be confused. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s not what I\u2019m trying to convey. <\/p>\n

So thank you for letting me interrupt you to make that point.<\/p>\n
