RUSH: Ron in Cincinnati, welcome, sir. Great to have you on the EIB Network.
CALLER: Thank you, Rush, and it’s a delight to speak with you, and it’s my honor.
RUSH: Thank you, sir.
CALLER: All right. Well, my point today, Rush, is I’m watching what’s going on in Egypt right now —
RUSH: Hm-hm.
CALLER: — and I just have to wonder if we conservatives and we true patriots in America, if we might not have our own day of departure, and if we could drive our elections forward by whatever time frame we can get it done by, and change regime here.
RUSH: You mean like get a couple hundred thousand of us to go to Washington and say, ‘Leave, leave, leave’ and maybe Vladimir Putin will get on TV and say, ‘Yeah, Obama, you better get out of there.’ Something like that, is that what you mean?
CALLER: Yeah. And I gotta tell you, I would suspect that if we really had a shot at it, you’d get more than a couple hundred thousand.
RUSH: (laughing)
CALLER: Don’t you think?
RUSH: (laughing) It is true, and I get your point, I get your point. The Egyptian government and the world needs to listen to those people in the streets in Cairo. Doesn’t matter, could be the Muslim Brotherhood, could be Al-Qaeda, could be al-Zawahiri, could be Ahmadinejad, could be Bin Laden. Mubarak needs to listen. Meanwhile, forget showing up. Look at the election returns last November. Has a message not been sent? Look at the polling data on Obamacare. I’m not prepared, by the way, to forget this. That bill is still unconstitutional. We still have an administration engaging — the Drive-Bys don’t like me to use this word, but I don’t know what else you’d use, lawlessness? Obamacare is unconstitutional. The judge said, ‘I don’t need to issue an injunction. The ruling suffices as an injunction.’ Democrats say, ‘There’s no injunction. He couldn’t be serious about this. We’re gonna keep doing it.’
This regime knows full well the vast majority of the American people are against it, in opposition to most of its policies. Doesn’t matter. We’re not being listened to, the American people, the majority of whom are seeing their government behave and govern against their will. In Egypt, 1%, one-tenth of 1% of the population says so and there’s Obama on the phone, ‘Hey, Mubarak, scram, start listening, like I don’t.’

RUSH: Linda in Edgewater, Florida, and thank you for waiting. Welcome to the program.
CALLER: Oh, thank you for taking my call. I have to say mega dittos.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: Oh, my gosh, I can’t tell you. But, anyway, you touched on the subject earlier about the federal court judge deeming Obamacare unconstitutional?
RUSH: Yes, ma’am.
CALLER: What I would like to know is why aren’t our attorney generals from the 26 states or the senators and representatives running to the courthouse to file a cease-and-desist order on the federal government? Because at this point they’re in contempt, and they’re still implementing Obamacare, spending the American taxpayers’ money on it.
RUSH: I don’t really know. I think that there’s probably some strategery taking place among these AGs as the best way to approach this, who wants to do it. I can tell you that Wisconsin’s governor and another governor have simply said, ‘It doesn’t exist. We’re not gonna implement it here.’ The governors have spoken. ‘Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell said Thursday he has asked his attorney general to advise him on whether implementing and enforcing the federal health care overhaul would put Parnell in violation of his oath of office.’ He believes that enacting the health care law may violate the oath of office that he took.
‘Parnell told reporters that he took an oath to support and defend the constitutions of the United States and Alaska. While the Republican governor concedes the issue is expected to be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court, he said he has a duty to uphold the law and wants Attorney General John J. Burns to advise on what that duty is after the Florida ruling. ‘I’m caught between a federal government that says, ‘You must pursue this, you must pursue this,’ and I have the duty to uphold the rule of law,” which the judge says don’t pursue it.
So I think Linda, like what’s going on in the Middle East, this could become contagious. I think you’re gonna see more and more governors stepping up — when you have the governor of Alaska refusing to implement this… I mean you’re gonna have, I think, a lot of people stepping up, attorney generals, governors, but believe me, going on behind the scenes is a strategery, I’m sure, on how to go about this. But it is mind-numbing, is it not? A federal judge has ruled this law void and the administration is pretending that it didn’t happen.
CALLER: Well, I have to admit, I ain’t had much book learning like all them smarties there in Washington —
RUSH: Well, I haven’t had much book learning, either.
CALLER: Well, according to them, we’re a bunch of dunderheads. But who was that troglodyte, Dick Durbin who cited Article 1, Section 8, you know, the commerce clause, that he’s still allowed to implement Obamacare?
RUSH: Right.
CALLER: I don’t get it. That’s like putting a dress on a pig. It’s still a pig.
RUSH: Yeah, don’t insult the pig.
CALLER: Yeah, I apologize.
RUSH: This is utter defiance, is what that is. I mean to come out and claim that the commerce clause allows them to do this, it’s just utter defiance. Look, this is the Democrat Party, folks, this is who it is. This is the modern day left. This is how they go about things. Rule of law is secondary to them, to their agenda. Look, they have been governing against the will of the people ever since Obama was inaugurated. So this is well within the pattern of behavior they’ve established.

RUSH: The lady did have a good question. Why is there no action from one of these AGs or governors to actually enjoin the federal government from implementing Obamacare? I don’t have the answer to that, but I have to think, as I said, that there’s some strategizing going on about how best to approach this. It’s a gold mine sitting out there. The federal judge has decreed that Obamacare is unconstitutional. He has voided it. They are violating the Constitution as they continue to implement this. So I’m sure that rather than rush — because everybody knows it is gonna go to the Supreme Court, and maybe part of the strategy is, let ’em go ahead and violate the Constitution, let them just continue here. Most of it doesn’t get implemented ’til 2013, 2014 anyway. Let them behave in an extraconstitutional manner for a little while, and let the evidence of that pile up.
