RUSH: Ladies and gentlemen, the race business is alive and well in the era of Obama — just as the president himself is keeping it alive with the radio interview to that Hispanic audience, telling them about immigration (summarized), ‘Hey, look, if you’re not willing to go out there and punish our enemies, then don’t expect me to move the agenda of amnesty forward for you. I mean, I can’t do it alone. I’m not just a king. You gotta go out there and help me punish my enemies.’

That’s Obama keeping it alive. Yesterday afternoon on MSNBC Live, the hapless Contessa Brewer talked to the ‘Monochrome’ Coalition president, the Reverend Jackson. She said, ‘Look, about the minority bloc,’ ahem, ‘these were people who there were a lot of first-time voters out there, voted for Obama. They were motivated, they wanted to see that change in the White House. In this election — and again you’re holding the rallies, but — you’re looking at groups of people who could be the pivotal difference between Republicans having control in Congress and Democrats having control. What do you say to ’em?’ Now, does anybody understand the question? I don’t understand the question. I just read the question to you. I don’t know what the question means. But Jesse Jackson answered it anyway. Here’s what he said…

JACKSON: There are more black voters than there are Tea Part’ers. I mean, there’s more coffee in the, uh — in the pot than there is, uh, tea in the cup. (snickers) And whenever those voters vote in big numbers in strategic states, they are the whoooole difference.

RUSH: There you have it. That’s clear now.
