RUSH: You know, folks, it looks like Democrat Party unity is coming apart while they stick it to American businesses suffering under the coronavirus lockdowns.

Senate Democrat Leader Chuck You Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refuse to support liability protections for businesses who want to get back to normal operations.

But according to The Hill, a few so-called “moderate” Democrats are pushing back. Chris Coons (that short little bald guy, a Delaware Senator and Biden buddy) says he wants businesses to have some form of liability protection. But only with “clear regulatory guidelines.” Red tape, in other words.

Alabama Senator Doug Jones, whose seat is in serious danger, is also willing to make a liability-protection deal with Republicans. He wants businesses to have some protections, but he doesn’t want to give them blanket immunity or a blank check.

You know, I hope every business owner, large and small, is paying attention to this. I mean, without liability protection in place, swarms of lawyers are going to be filing suit the minute employees, customers, or clients claim they caught the coronavirus because of the business — regardless where they actually got it

Some of these businesses are struggling to keep their doors open as it is. Lawsuits would kill them. And the Democrats know it — and they don’t care.

Democrats howl to the moon whenever somebody calls them anti-business, but that is exactly what they are — straight to their core.
