RUSH: Curtis in Springdale, Arkansas. Hi.

CALLER: Hello, Rush. It’s an honor.

RUSH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER: Hey, I’d like to lead up to my question if that’s okay.

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: Okay, do you agree that the reasons the Republicans lost the presidential and congressional elections were the economy and Iraq, right, for the most part?

RUSH: Not entirely.

CALLER: Okay. But now, with all one party in both sides, both the presidential and congressional sides —

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: — you only have one place to go, is down. You’re at the top of the totem pole, right? I was going to ask that, you know, with this only being four months of all one side right now, you’ve got Pelosi lying, the releasing of the Gitmo detainees, we don’t have a clue —

RUSH: I know where you’re headed with this and we’ve got a little time constraint. Critical mass, when is all this just going to implode on them and cause people to see the light?

CALLER: How long do you think it will take?

RUSH: I don’t know. I’ll tell you something. We never got to critical mass with FDR. I know a lot of people think we’re going to get to critical mass. A lot of people think at some point unemployment stays high and so forth and so on, that at some point people are going to wake up. I hope that’s true. I have no idea when it’s going to happen. I’m not even sure if. We never got to critical mass with FDR throughout the Great Depression, and we got FDR 2 here, gang, and he’s even more popular and beloved than FDR was.
