Wednesday?s optimism came from a story in the Washington Times titled, ?Coming-Out Day For Conservatives.? It was all about how college kids are rejecting the liberal bias in academia and coming forward with their conservative beliefs and ideas. It was the kind of story that made your professor Limbaugh smile with pride, and demonstrated the value of my program and how we’re slowly changing the cultural direction of this country.
After all, let me remind you that 15 years ago when the program first began, did you hear the words campus conservatives or college conservatives? Back then most people wouldn?t dare admit they were conservative, fearing the negative reaction and disapproval of fellow peers and teachers. There was only one college that was thought to be friendly to conservatives, and one college newspaper, and that was at Dartmouth.
